I just think it's easy to underestimate how resistant to change most people are
@olorininir@ar0cket1 Either you have a formal proof or you don't. If someone assembles a bunch of other peoples ideas and failed attempts into a formal proof they get the credit for the proof. Shoulders of giants and all that
And it couldn't have been purposeful. Just no realistic scenario.
@olorininir@ar0cket1 You can’t solve something like this without realizing it. You might be able to hypothesize the correct solution without realizing it but without a proof nothing has been solved
And if someone solved it and realized it why would they give credit to OpenAI?
