In our #MayDay article @jacobin, also commemorating the 5th anniversary of the @ILRLaborAction, we show how #labor action is dominated by a few large #strikes annually and discuss what it takes to have a genuine groundswell of the labor movement.

Away! away! for I will fly to thee,
Not charioted by Bacchus and his pards,
But on the viewless wings of Poesy
~John Keats

I am really pleased to share that my third #poetry book Soloist published by the legendary #Ithaca institution Zorba Press under the masterful guidance of editor Michael Pastore with ample help from Ann Pastore will be in your hands soon. Here 👇 is the first look of the cover.
One of the greatest pleasures of life is that once a year @NobelPrize tells us - a writer so great lives among us and we must visit them at least once. And so we have László Krasznahorkai this year who transports us to a time and space far far away with masterful precision.
This was an exciting book to read - full of important ideas about how the US could create a portfolio of policies that support industrial relations. I am so happy that it featured in the @ILRReview .
Read @iamdki's (@cornellilr) review of Marc Fasteau and Ian Fletcher's @cpa_tradereform new book that argues why the state has to actively craft the industrial policy for the #USA to create good #jobs and a prosperous economy.

Reading this book now. It is a fascinating tour de force into the world of humans who make #AI run efficiently and well at great human cost. Must-read for anyone who cares how #technology impacts #workplaces and society. Highly recommended!

We read Michael Burawoy (15 June 1947- 3 February 2025) to understand how to study industrial workplaces through the labor process in graduate seminars. Thank you for leading the way, Michael. Your intellectual contributions will endure the test of times.
