It’s the final resting place of his 22-year-old son, Lt. Vijyant Thapar, who laid down his life during the 1999 Kargil War.

Before his final mission, Lt. Vijyant wrote a heart-wrenching letter to his parents, asking his father to one day visit the place where he and his fellow soldiers stood their ground… and fell.

Col. Thapar has honoured that promise — every year, without fail.

No cameras. No headlines. Just a father keeping a promise to a son… and to his nation.

This is not just a story of war.

It’s a story of love, duty, and the unbreakable bond between a soldier and his family.

याद है... कि भूल गये... तुम लोग शारजाह में क्या करते थे? … भारत और पाकिस्तान का हर मैच शुक्रवार को रख कर स्टेडियम में मज़हबी उन्माद फैलाते थे... टीम इंडिया के साथ खुली बेईमानी करते थे... 1991 का टूर्नामेंट याद है... भारत – पाकिस्तान के मैच में सूरज डूब गया था... शारजाह की सड़कों पर स्ट्रीट लाइट जल रही थी... और टीम इंडिया को उस अंधेरे में मैच खेलने के लिये मजबूर किया गया... संजय मांजरेकर बार-बार बैड लाइट की अपील कर रहा था... लेकिन अंपायर सुनने को राज़ी न थे...

फिर फाइनल हुआ... अकीब जावेद (जो वर्तमान में पाकिस्तानी टीम का मुख्य कोच है) ने हैट्रिक ली... तीनों एलबीडब्लू आउट किये... अंपायर के फैसले पर सवाल उठे... और जब शारजाह में अकीब हैट्रिक ले रहा था तो सिर्फ वहां और पाकिस्तान में ही नहीं... बल्कि मध्यप्रदेश की राजधानी भोपाल में भी पाकिस्तान परस्त लोग पटाखे फोड़ रहे थे और मिठाईयां बांट रहे थे... मैं स्वयं इसका चश्मदीद गवाह हूं... अब कोई यहां बकलोली करने मत आना... मैंने खुद अपनी आंखों से देश के गद्दारों को जश्न मनाते देखा था...

अब आ गया 2025... ये भारत का वक्त है... हम हर बदला गिन-गिन कर लेंगे... कोई पाकिस्तानी पपी तय नहीं करेगा कि कोई एक टीम एक ही जगह पर मैच क्यों खेल रही है... हमसे फाइनल क्यों छीन लिया... तुमने हमें बहुत कष्ट और पीड़ा दी है... न केवल शारजाह, लाहौर, कराची बल्कि भोपाल जैसे शहरों में भी हमने तुम्हारे पिल्लों को बेईमानी की जीत पर जश्न मनाते देखा है... अब और नहीं... तुम घुटने टेकोगे...

Andhra Pradesh is planning "Work From Home" in a big way, especially for women.

First, I would like to extend greetings to all women and girls in STEM on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Today, we celebrate their achievements and commit ourselves to providing them equal and full access to growth opportunities in these fields. 

Now, returning to the headline - As we know, work landscape underwent a shift during the COVID-19 pandemic. With technology readily available to scale, "Work From Home" gained prominence. Concepts such as remote work, coworking spaces (CWS), and Neighbourhood Workspaces (NWS) can empower businesses and employees alike to create flexible, productive work environments. 

Such initiatives can help us strike a better work-life balance as well. We plan to harness these trends to drive meaningful change in AP. The Andhra Pradesh IT & GCC Policy 4.0 is a game-changing step in that direction. We're offering incentives for developers to create IT office spaces in every city/town/mandal and supporting IT/GCC firms to generate employment at the grassroots. 

 I'm confident these initiatives will foster greater workforce participation, especially of women professionals, who will benefit through flexible remote/hybrid work options.
