As per some wedding planners, the normal cost of a wedding at the Taj is ₹1-5 crore.

Your net worth is ~₹50 lakh to ₹1+ crore (based on election affidavits on Myneta), so you are obviously not going to waste your entire net worth on just a wedding.

DK Sharma, an employee of the ITDC, was terminated from his job in 1991.

He challenged the dismissal, and his case moved through the legal system for 34 years, from labour court to Rajasthan High Court and finally to Supreme Court.

He died in 2024. Supreme Court has now ruled that his termination was wrongful and directed that 50% of his back wages be paid to his family.

He waited for 34 years for justice and died before it arrived. He never lived to hear it. This is our Judicial system.
