3. Seems like this was partly because I pointed out that I found it annoying to be told my response was “Late” because I didn’t answer over a holiday weekend, but still…really?
1. I declined a review request and got this from the AE: “I am sorry you are not willing to be a part of the reviewer system by reviewing other people's manuscripts. This is a give and take that is required for all of us to publish…”
2. “…If you have any questions about how the academic review system works and the editorial process please let me know, because this process is a two way street - you cannot publish without reviewers and vice versa.”

Highlight of #Evol2019 for me was the exceptionally high quality work by the undergrad researchers there. Many of the standout posters and presentations were from undergrad scientists, and I was lucky enough to have fun and thought-provoking conversations with several of them!
