There's no reinterpretation happening with the music though. As it always is, it's used non-diegetically to signify the emotional resolution of the film. Unlike good film scoring, its use tells us very little about what's actually happening on screen

it’s really funny to me that people are upset about a movie that quotes romeo & juliet and hamlet also using “overused” music. i feel like the entire point of the film is reinterpreting the words we’re basically immune to from hearing them so many times, same goes for that song
