Public order cannot be maintained by sacrificing animal welfare. A civilized society solves problems without creating silent victims. Indias animal welfare laws demand prevention of unnecessary suffering. Indiscriminate cattle lifting without infrastructure violates both the letter and spirit of the law. Cattle belong to ecosystems of care; farmers, gaushalas, grazing systems& not trucks, holding yards, or makeshift confinement facilities.

Mass confinement is not only cruel but economically unviable. Maintaining shelters for lakhs of dogs is impossible, unsustainable, and destined to fail, while ABC costs less and delivers long-term results. The issue is not the presence of dogs, but the absence of accountability in implementing existing laws. The answer is better governance, not brutality disguised as control.

6 Municipality Workers Suspended in Shahpura. A quick reaction, but suspension is a slap on the wrist for the horrific, public killing of a dog!

The law must treat animal life with the seriousness it deserves.

• The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960, offers pitiful fines (as low as ₹10-₹50) which is zero deterrent.

• While IPC Section 429/BNS Section 325 can mean up to 5 years in prison for killing an animal, this needs to be strictly applied to these officials!

WE DEMAND:

1. FIR & Criminal Prosecution of the suspended staff under IPC/BNS for murder and mischief.

2. Permanent Job Termination not just suspension for violating their duty and showing extreme cruelty.

3. IMMEDIATE PASSAGE of the PCA Amendment Bill to introduce stringent fines and mandatory jail time for gruesome cruelty!

यह वायरल वीडियो गोलमुरी थाना क्षेत्र का है, जिसमें दो युवक अपनी बाइक के पीछे एक कुत्ते को बाँधकर घसीटते हुए दिखाई दे रहे हैं। यह लोमहर्षक और अमानवीय घटना सामने आने के तुरंत बाद मैंने थाना प्रभारी से संपर्क कर संबंधित युवकों की पहचान कर कठोर कार्रवाई करने को कहा है।

एक निर्दोष पशु के साथ ऐसा क्रूर व्यवहार इंसानियत पर गहरा धब्बा है। घायल कुत्ते का कुछ लोगों ने उपचार कराया है, जिसके लिए वे सराहना के पात्र हैं।

इस पोस्ट के माध्यम से मैं माननीय सीनियर एसपी महोदय से भी अनुरोध करना चाहती हूँ कि ऐसे मामलों में, जब भी कोई वीडियो या सूचना वायरल हो, सभी थाना प्रभारियों को स्वयं संज्ञान लेकर तत्काल कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए जाएँ। इससे ऐसे क्रूर और घृणित कृत्य करने वालों को सबक मिलेगा और भविष्य में कोई भी व्यक्ति पशुओं के साथ ऐसा अमानवीय व्यवहार करने का साहस नहीं करेगा।
