It’s key for Western Civilization that America maintains its position a world leader in economy, technology and military affairs.

Together with Europe, South America, Canada and Australia, the West is strong enough the face the challenges of what is likely to be a very turbulent 21st century.

The West is the West and must not become an amalgamation of the entire world.

May America celebrate its 500th anniversary in 2276 as a state which remains faithful to the ideas and people which created it and built it.

Fathers Matter.

The evidence showing the impact of a father is remarkably consistent:

- Young men raised with their biological father are more than 2× as likely to graduate college (35% vs. 14%).

- Young men raised without their biological father are about 2× more likely to spend time in jail by age 30, even after controlling for family income, race, maternal education, and cognitive ability.

- They’re also significantly more likely to end up out of school and out of work in early adulthood (19% vs. 11%).

- Children with involved fathers are 43% more likely to earn A’s and 33% less likely to repeat a grade.

- Research consistently links active father involvement to better mental health, fewer behavioral problems, lower delinquency, and stronger emotional development throughout childhood and adolescence.

- Nearly 1 in 4 American children grow up without a biological, step or adoptive father in the home.

Some of the older, widely cited figures are also striking:

- 71% of high school dropouts are reported to come from fatherless homes.

- 85% of youth in prison are reported to come from fatherless homes.

- 90% of homeless and runaway children are reported to come from fatherless homes.

- 63% of youth suicides are reported to involve children from fatherless homes.

- 75% of adolescents in substance abuse treatment are reported to come from fatherless homes.

A loving, present, engaged father is one of the greatest gifts a child can have. Fathers matter.

With everything we are hearing right now about ticks this seems like good information to share.

“Here’s what I’ve learned after more ticks than I care to count.
First, whatever your uncle told you, forget it. No matches. No nail polish. No Vaseline. No soap on a cotton ball. All of those do the same terrible thing, they stress the tick out, and a stressed tick empties its gut back into the bite before letting go. Which, if you think about what that actually means for a second, is literally how Lyme and the rest get transmitted so you’re not speeding up its exit. You’re making it throw up into you.
Fine-tipped tweezers. Grip right where the mouthparts enter the skin, not the body, the head. Pull straight up, steady, no twisting, no jerking. It’ll feel like it’s resisting because it is, the mouthparts are barbed. Just keep the pressure on and it lets go in a few seconds. If a piece breaks off in the skin, leave it alone. Your body pushes splinters out. Digging around with a needle does more damage then the fragment ever would.
Clean it with alcohol or soap. Wash your hands.
Now here’s the part most people skip: don’t flush the tick.
Tape it to an index card. Clear packing tape right over the body, write the date and where on your body it was, and stick the card in a drawer. If you come down with anything weird in the next 30 days, rash, fever, joint pain, that flu-that-isn’t-flu feeling, that tick goes with you to the doctor. Some labs will test the tick itself, which is faster and often more reliable than waiting for antibodies to show up in your own blood. A dated tick taped to a card is one of the most useful things you can hand a doctor who’s trying to figure out what’s wrong with you.
The other thing worth saying out loud: if the tick was engorged when you pulled it, and you can’t swear it was off your body within 24 hours, call your doctor that same day. Don’t wait for a rash. Fewer than three out of four Lyme cases even produce the classic bullseye. A single preventive dose of doxycycline within 72 hours of a deer tick bite cuts the Lyme odds way down, and most docs in tick country will write that prescription without giving you a hard time, especially if you walk in with the tick taped to a card and a clear timeline.”

The only way Ireland’s government can justify claiming the settlements are illegal is by accepting the antisemitic act and policy of Jordan, which expelled Jews from those areas in 1948 and confiscated Jewish-owned land. An antisemitic act and policy by Jordan, for eighteen or nineteen years, does not justify Jews not being able to live there now.

All Ireland's foreign minister is doing now is trying to justify a massive case of antisemitism carried out by Jordan, and using that antisemitic act as justification to claim Jews cannot live in the settlements now. It's all shabby carry-on by the Irish government
