#Nidec Corporation announced a substantial investment of ₹600 crore in its Hubballi-Dharawad manufacturing facility
Delighted to meet Shri #MichaelBriggs, President of Nidec Motion & Energy, and the #NidecTeam in Bengaluru today, following up on the progress from our recent #Japan visit. During that visit, we secured Nidec’s ₹450 crore investment to establish a cutting-edge facility in #Hubballi, driving EV production for 2, 3 & 4 wheelers.
In today’s meeting, Nidec Corporation announced an additional ₹150 crore investment, expanding its Hubballi-Dharawad facility to a total of ₹600 crore. The 30-acre project will generate over 800 jobs and boost key sectors like EVs, data centres, and renewable energy.
We also discussed Nidec’s high-tech energy storage solution, which is crucial for storing electricity. This will be further explored with the State Energy Department to support Karnataka’s energy needs.
I extended a warm invitation to the team for #GIM2025, where we look forward to even greater collaborations.

@nagabhushanb@SWRRLY@drmsbc@drmubl SL coaches were locked but AC coaches were open. Many people including women and senior citizens were boarding when this incident happened and few were completely shocked.
And also at 0030 electric supply was given to SL coaches
Train left at 0055
Horrible experience @SWRRLY
@nagabhushanb@SWRRLY@drmsbc@drmubl I came through this train today sir.
It has the least priority. They allowed goods train to pass through PF8 at 0000 and train 07340 which was scheduled to leave SBC at 2355 came to PF at 0015. It completely stopped for 2-3 min & then moved a distance of 3 coaches.
