Another first for #IamAPHRC! The Center's first-ever Knowledge Fair is on. This platform provides teams with the opportunity to showcase effective practices, innovations, and processes that drive impact throughout the Center. In her opening remarks, the Executive Director, Dr. Catherine Kyobutungi, shared:

“APHRC is a learning organization. The Knowledge Fair happening today is our shared table. Unless we share our recipe, we may never know how good it is. It is our space to showcase best practices that have worked so they can be adapted, replicated, and scaled across APHRC. We don’t need to reinvent the wheel. The innovation is already there. Our role is to see what works, adapt it to our context, replicate, and scale.”

Arsenal’s struggles against midblocks are becoming predictable. Today’s performance mirrored their 1-0 loss to Newcastle in November and their draw against Fulham. Saka might’ve made a difference, but Arteta has struggled against these setups even with him.

Newcastle’s 4-5-1 OOP shape clogged the midfield, with their fullbacks and wide midfielders pressing wide. While Arsenal found spaces between the lines, they failed to exploit them.

The issue is that Odegaard is their only player capable of excelling between the lines, and he's also tasked with linking play deep. Rice, meanwhile, offered little in this area. He simply looks out of place. (2 dribbles in the final 3rd \ most passes are sideways)

At one point in the first half, Odegaard even shifted to the left side, where Rice was operating, which would tell you a lot.
