The Tigray Interim Administration has announced its exclusive engagement with the federal government concerning the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (#CoHA) via the #African_Union. Following a recent Cabinet meeting on 28 February, 2024, it was decided that discussions would be channeled solely through the African Union.

Highlighting the urgency, the administration said it is “committed to pursuing secure peace through peaceful conflict resolution strategies.” It underscores the importance of “adhering to territorial boundaries outlined in the Pretoria agreement and the Federal Constitution.”

The administration calls for the swift initiation of the "African Union Panel" to facilitate the Pretoria accord's full execution. Discussions with the African Union, designated mediators, and the federal government is set to be held in the coming weeks with the aim to address persistent challenges hindering the Pretoria Peace Agreement's realization.
