@landatthebottom That’s not the whole picture is it? I’m old enough to remember when it was “no mooring” and I remember the boat festival.
Apart from that there does seem like a lot of woodsmoke in the clean air zone around some of those boats in winter.

@jan_murray I think that this is a common issue for aspiring musicians and it’s so frustrating. (Just look at the cost of a bassoon)Even if they make it to a conservatoire what happens after that? Without family in London to subsidise rent etc a lot of career opportunities are impossible.

As an aside I assume Wera’s figures are mainly legitimate refugees from Ukraine who have arrived by lawful means?

Imo the combination of ‘too many’ short term rentals plus hmo has hollowed out communities in Bath. I’m for a Barcelona style solution.

Excellent article by @DailyMail exposing the appalling waste of money Trustees and the Council need to be held to account. It’s flooded many times in the past but they went ahead and wasted millions
