Config change is code. Infrastructure change is code change. Dependency update is code change. Code change is code change. It is all the same.
Staged rollout is one of the best way (if not the best way) to reduce blast radius. Even better if you include some bake time.
This gives insights why a typical staged rollout didn't catch the bug. CrowdStrike made a compromise to roll out config changes faster. In my experience, config changes are no different from code changes. And they are usually more error-prone than code. https://t.co/70zILrKxu8
Directionally correct. The numbers might differ person to person but 2 weeks is roughly long it takes me to reset from work and disconnect from my phone.
I’m in my 30s. Now imagine the impact of screen time on kids.
Two weeks without mobile internet improved mental health more than antidepressants and reversed roughly 10 years of attentional decline.
Screen time dropped 49% (314 to 161 min/day).
@GergelyOrosz@eastdakota Twitch has some very large streamers in Spain and it is not rare to have ISPs block the traffic. I don’t know that they could handle streaming very well even for La Liga.
"Not having a coding experience is becoming an advantage."
Replit CEO Amjad Masad:
"You don't need any development experience. You need grit. You need to be a fast learner."
"If you're a good gamer, if you can jump in a game and figure it out really quickly, you're really good at this."
"Coders get lost in the details."
"Product people, people who are focused on solving a problem, on making money, they're going to be focused on marketing, they're going to be focused on user interface, they're going to be focused on all the right things."
"I think this year it's gonna flip, and I think not having a coding background is gonna be more advantageous for the entrepreneur."

@QuinnyPig@AWSSupport@awscloud You know the answer. It wasn’t on anyone’s OP1 plan to fix the name detection regex and so Claude is PII until the end of days.
It would be amazing if @solve_sf built a ChatGPT app for people to report directly in ChatGPT. https://t.co/Bi2wheblnr
And it might be cheaper since the processing cost would be on the subscription of the user
@garrytan Is there a way to tax when they take a loan against their assets? Because I really think that’s what people are actually after. They don’t have realized gains but still manage to get liquid untaxable loans against it.
@solve_sf Another way would be a teacher student approach. Using the output of a bigger model as training labels for a smaller model.
But honestly, it’s really good the way it is right now. There’s probably 50 other things more important.
