@Divergent7651 What do you think Oliver is up to with $CRT. Seems like he is going to try to restructure it, but this is no $PBT or $TPL. I think it's too small for Hildebrand or $XOM to be interested in getting involved.
@Reignots@aaronjsallen Wondering how you’re thinking about $HONA here. Seems like if you have a time horizon beyond 6 months it could work out very well from here.
@MupalSingh@Cristianje5@Fidelity I’m at Schwab. I also received $8.12 per share. I think this was structured as a return of capital and as a dividend. I think we will get the second payment soo but they may withhold taxes from the dividend portion.
What do you do with $CPRT here. Company is finally buying stock and compares get really easy later in the year w no hurricanes in ‘25. On the other hand $RBA is a legit competitor again and may win back market share.
Trata (@trytrata) is now on FinTwit. We host anonymous buyside to buyside conversations via voice calls. We work with 125+ funds (vs. 10 in March) and receive 25-30 human-to-human calls weekly. We compile these conversations into a library of investment research.
EX: Fund 1 is bullish and Fund 2 is bearish on $OPEN, they ask each other questions they want answered surrounding the key debates for anywhere between 30-60 minutes.
The average fund on the platform: ~$200-400mm in AUM, 3 investment professionals, fundamental research focused. These funds use tools like Bloomberg and third-party expert networks, and have regular access to management teams.
To the qualified lurkers and anon accounts of FinTwit: Request a call on any ticker (bull or bear). If we pair you, we’ll give you:
1. Access to that transcript and any transcripts on that ticker published through the end of 2026
2. Airpods
@ErnestWongBWM Do you have a feel for what US insurance volume ex Cat growth might be for Q2? Assignments were down low single digits in Q1 and in the prior year Insurance vol was up 2%. So maybe a low single digit decline?
@dctanner Are you saying that CSU will be able to improve the software that they are already selling to their customers which will outweigh new competition?
@_inpractise IAA has become a much better company in recent years. I think the returns IAA is getting are probably a lot better than when this guy worked at Copart
@brettddavidson@BrokenMoats Nice catch. It would be unusual for a company to hire a new CFO without knowing who the CEO is. Maybe they are finalizing Hogan's contract and are not quite ready to announce him as CEO. Otherwise you would think somebody reviewing the pr would have caught it
@RagingVentures I think it is de-grossing. Some high quality high multiple stocks that have held up so well i.e. $COST $TYL are finally selling off. Meanwhile other names that have been left behind or have been struggling are having nice moves i.e. $JKHY $NEOG $PZZA $FC
