@imgrund Do you think they will? Or are they going to go the โwe are living with the virus nowโ route and not open testing up again to the general public? ๐ฌ๐
@imgrund I love this! What if you want to gain as much useful info as possible in 2 guesses before going off course with your tailored guesses? Would that change the words to use? Eg would you want N in those first 2 words somewhere? Iโve been using RANTS and WELCH up until now.
@ONTdad4schools@imgrund (Iโd like to know overall absence/in-person attendance rates, too! I just think lumping these two groups together in a single stat makes data interpretation difficult- it makes it hard to clearly assess risk of exposure in a given school.)
@ONTdad4schools@imgrund Yes, my kids are home because of Covid, but not because they were exposed or are sick. We are playing it safe. I just wish we had a way to differentiate that grp from the grp of kids who are absent because of exposure/sickness. Iโd like to know what exposure/sickness rates are.
@EdTubb@ringer RANTS for me.. I try to hit as many of the most common consonants as possible to start, as they tend to be more discriminating than the vowels. If no hits on that, then my second word is WELCH. ๐
@brianlilley This article was in poor taste IMO. This dr has done SO much work for the underprivileged in our community. Sheโs deep in the trenches & working nonstop. No HCW in that position deserves to be insulted w/the label โdelicate & preciousโ right now, even if you disagree w/her views.
@errolenv This is great data! Thank you for your work. I wish we had a way of knowing how many classrooms/used spaces are covered. A friend said her school doesnโt need any in classrooms bc they have a central (hepa?) air filtโn syst. So % of classes/spaces covered would be great to know.
@Mindfulmamato @EdTubb I didnโt realize letters could occur more than once.. so that made yesterdayโs especially tricky! But this one was pretty tough, too. :p
@mbpowell @hypsauce @cainstrong @VicSilverman @JordanLeichnitz @cbcjlong @danieldemois@VeraEtches@OttawaHealth Itโs true-would be close to a yr early for late-born 2017 babies. They could consider doing something like what they did for pregnant women early on - not officially recommend it, but allow shots to this group while providing consenting parents with clear info on risks/unknowns.
@VicSilverman @hypsauce @JordanLeichnitz@danieldemois @cbcjlong She was correct- at the time of her OP they were accepting 4YOs. My 4YO was one of them. I would not have known to take her w/out posts on fb&Twitter. When the govt/health syst. is failing to keep us informed, there is reason to share what info we can, even with some uncertainty.
@VicSilverman @hypsauce @JordanLeichnitz@danieldemois @cbcjlong It seems reasonable for OP to express uncertainly re what will happen going forward. There was no public announcement that 4YOs would get shots today, yet they did! The flip-flopping, mixed msgs from โtrustedโ sources, and sudden changes make certainty a foolโs approach right now
@jburnmurdoch What a creative way to visualize shifts in activity across cities! Would love to see a Canadian city included if possible - TO? Or Ottawa? ๐ฌ
