Let’s be clear: I fully support a teacher’s right to political speech and personal beliefs. But a public-school classroom should not become a platform for a teacher’s personal political ideology.

Students should be taught how to think, not what to think.

Reading. Writing. Mathematics. Science. History. Critical thinking. Evidence. Debate. The ability to hear competing viewpoints and reach your own conclusions.

That should be the standard.

And PPS itself says its students should develop informed opinions by evaluating evidence, considering competing perspectives, and adapting their views as they learn.

So when political messaging is visibly displayed by a teacher on school property, it is entirely reasonable for parents to ask: Where does personal political expression end and the responsibility to maintain a politically neutral learning environment begin?

PPS is entrusted with educating more than 42,000 students. Parents should expect an educational system focused relentlessly on academic achievement—not ideological conformity.

Teach students HOW to think. Give them the facts. Expose them to competing ideas.

Let THEM decide what they believe.

That is what education should be.

I just received the news a few days ago that my mortgage is completely paid off. I was on cloud nine when I was informed. However, my elation was promptly deflated when I realized that despite owning my home outright, I would still be required to pay the state of Oregon the equivalent of 3 months of my previous mortgage payments in property taxes yearly. As part of the discovery process in our lawsuit to get press passes for the Washington Legislature, we received these emails between Jerry Cornfield @dospueblos at the @WAStateStandard and @Shauna_Sowersby of the @seattletimes, who were members of the Capitol Correspondents Association, a group that determined who gets press passes

Jerry didn't like that @BrandiKruse & Jonathan @choeshow were researching daycare fraud.

Jerry pulled IRS & PDC files to see how much we were paid in salaries and speaking fees, and after seeing Jonathan's salary, sent it to Shauna and said, "Choe is one rich guy in flip flops."

Jerry did not explain why a person's income would affect getting a press pass. Jerry also complained about @stevemgordon67, founder of Project 42, falsely calling him our "ringleader," because Steve was calling out the CCA on social media for denying our passes.

Shauna replied, "Definite no on those first two," referring to denying press passes to Brandi and Choe, claiming "it is very obvious what’s happening here. They’ll continue to pile on because everyone wants a piece of the grift."

She then said she was "going to call Mich first thing in the morning, I am hoping that since Brandi and Ari have called The Times by name on social posts that she will be more willing to get DWT involved."

"Mich" appears to be Seattle Times executive editor Michele Matassa Flores—and hoped the newspaper would be more willing to involve its attorneys at Davis Wright Tremaine (DWT) because Brandi and I had criticized the outlet on social media. She was hoping they could find a way legally to deny us press passes because we criticized The Seattle Times.

The Capitol Correspondents Association was still deciding who would get press passes, even though, when faced with a lawsuit the previous year over the same topic, the CCA claimed they would stop being involved in the process.

WA School District issues INSANE gender policies VIOLATING multiple laws

Kennewick School District (@ksdschools) in WA sent out notices on their "Gender-Inclusive" policies that include:

-Using students' made-up names and pronouns
-Changing gender designation on school records
-Allowing boys to invade girls' bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports
-Keeping students' info a secret
-Punishing anyone who "harasses" students based on made-up gender identities
