@Strandjunker 3. In light of points 1 and 2, a great solution might be to let states legislate according to the stances take by the majority of voters in those states, because just maybe this is a contentious moral issue that shouldn't be forced down everyone's throats at a federal level.
@NavalismHQ@naval I was just thinking about this yesterday. I've been listening to a lot of books the last few years (like 1-2 per week), but I'm not retaining nearly as much. Just picked up another book (The Wonga Coup) and am reading it the good ol' fashioned way. Retention is way up.
@justegg The last 4 bottles of Just Egg I've bought (from two different stores) have been bloated and sour smelling/tasting (before the expiration date). I've been eating Just Eggs for years and I know what they're supposed to taste like. What's the deal guys?
@JamesSurowiecki I'd say the conversation we should be having is why we haven't let adults make their own decisions about what levels of precautions they would like to take to mitigate risks to themselves sooner. Especially given that with Omicron, many types of mitigation are a fools errand.
@JamesSurowiecki I've had the same printer for 10 years. It has never once failed me. The extra second or two it takes me to plug it into the usb outlet on my computer or phone (with an adapter) is worth it.
@ZssBecker Generally, I agree with your premise here, but I don't think anyone wants a Dr. removing their spleen if that Dr.'s education took 60 days and $500. So, yes it's bloated, but not everything should be self taught or learned through an online course.
@waitbutwhy I always thought it was funny that it was called "canning" and not "jarring". I guess because everyone would think you were doing something shocking if you told them what you had been doing that day was jarring.
