@skschmi@SawyerMerritt@Tesla For eyes off driving, that does seem further off than 2027 to me. RJ has been super clear that the Lidar and next gen hardware will be required for that as well.
@skschmi@SawyerMerritt@Tesla Maybe, but some of these timelines are part of the contract they have with Uber.
I suspect supervised self driving will have a very limited release by the end of the year and only getting wider distribution next year.
I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. My family went to church most Sundays that I can remember. I served a mission at 19. I came home. Went to college at byu-i. I got married at 23. And divorced at 27.
I lost my testimony/faith and stopped believing somewhere in that time. I was angry at God. The little love that was left in my heart disappeared. I was a sinful man full of pride and selfishness. I stopped praying. I would rarely go to church and if I did I’d leave right after sacrament meeting and I never felt anything. My own choices had made me numb beyond feeling anything. I quite honestly did not care if I lived or died. And I lived each day in this state. I was in my own self induced apostasy.
I was in this state for around 7 years.
Then my life changed.
My Savior saved me from the depths of despair.
While I had left Him. He never left me. And was always waiting for me to come home. The moment I realized this, I fell to my knees and wept. The sweet feeling of redemptive love and even forgiveness. Although I knew I had a lot of work to do, to get where I needed to be. Straight was the gate and narrow the way and I was ready to enter. I grabbed back on to the iron rod and started walking. Step by step. Line upon line. Precept upon precept.
I became a convert to the gospel October 2022.
I am still learning each day. I am very imperfect and have my own weaknesses. But I believe now. I have my own personal witness. And no one can take that away. And I am happy. Happier than I’ve been in a long time, because of the truths that the gospel brings. I desire everyone to receive this same happiness. After all, that’s what our Father has called it. The Plan of Happiness.
It is now time for me to share these personal stories. At least all the ones that are not too sacred to share. I am writing everything down on paper and will either share them all here by the end of this month or do a live where I share these events with my own voice.
To my friends on here: I know none of you in real life but it feels as though I have known many of you forever. Thank you for making my burdens lighter. Thank you for being some of my ministering angels. God knew I would need you. Thank you for all you have taught me. I hope as I continue to share my truths, personal story, and even my dumb opinions that I can return the favor or maybe even brighten your day.
In a time when the world is saying #Nokings my testimony is this:
Christ is King. He will return. The Book of Mormon is true. Families can be together forever. It is the plan of happiness. Come one. Come all. We have a work to do and there is no greater cause.

“Competence is how good you are when there is something to gain. Character is how good you are when there is nothing to gain. People will reward you for competence. But people will only love you for your character.”
— Mark Manson
I will say this over and over again: being friendly and likeable and easy to work with is part of your job. If you see “being good at your job” and “being likeable” as two separate things, you’re missing the point.
The best analogy I’ve ever heard on this topic is to think about your work as having a “shape” that needs to fit together with your colleagues shapes to be worth anything.
The total area that your shapes cover is the value of your work
The job of fitting those shapes together falls to managers
If I have a team member who is very good at what they do but is awkward, difficult, and can’t get along with anyone, that’s like a big irregular, spiky shape. It takes a ton of work from other people to fit that shape into the rest of the org.
if I have someone who maybe doesn’t cover as much area, but their shape is a nice, regular rectangle that fits in with all the other rectangles around them, that’s a great team member

The competent explore the boundaries.
The master knows when to ignore them."

- Have the “previous writing tool used” on the toolbar so you can easily switch back and forth (between a highlighter and pen for example) with fewer taps.
- Have the ability to increase contrast for highly colorized PDFs that don’t have a lot of contrast in B&W.
I have some thoughts on software improvements:
- The on-screen keyboard needs arrows to move the curser. Way easier to jump to a spot and fix a typo that way.
- Can the current time be displayed next to the current charge and WiFi connection on the bottom? (cont…)
