Great pleasure to present our case report on a successful high risk twin pregnancy in a young patient with ccTGA + VSD + PS. Grateful for your guidance Dr @Ellie_Silson and to the @BritishCardioSo for the opportunity to present at #BCS2026
@DrEilidhMaria@parthaskar Makes sense & totally sensible to protect yourself. Hope you can use what you’ve learned in your discussions & what you see here (which is very similar to Reddit, tbh) to develop messaging that’s more constructive & collaborative than blame-y, that’s all.
@parthaskar@DrEilidhMaria As much as I agree with the long term focus needed for FPR, it’s difficult to ask people who won’t have a job coming up and need to save to strike for pay. This was similar to the situation many UKG F2s were in these past few years so I don’t think adapting messaging will be hard
@parthaskar@DrEilidhMaria Agree with you Prof Kar. Would prob help those running for BMA leadership to take stock of the general sentiments and dialogue so as to target messaging as opposed to the original post here which is frankly a bit dismissive to how some people are (justifiably) feeling.
@LNER No problem! Your staff at King’s Cross were very helpful and supportive in finding an alternative route home. Major thanks to all of you for your help during a stressful time!
To my UK friends, if you are watching the US and ICE atrocities, I want you to pay closer attention as to what Reform has in mind for the UK
Farage published this in August 2025, an operation modelled on ICE

@parthaskar@thevirdas It is Prof Kar! I’ve been searching for it myself. Sadly not playing anywhere near me but Vir kindly posted a list of where it’s playing in the UK on his Instagram: https://t.co/3RT8DfdJbj
About the “Medical Prioritisation Bill”
An ask to @NHSE_WTE@NHSEngland@gmcuk@RCPhysicians@rcgp@TheBMA
Poor workforce planning and its consequences should not fall on IMGs already in the system
And if no one else can say it?
I am happy to say so publicly
Thanks
@DrLKVaughan We already see a huge discrepancy in opportunity based on region/deanery/location. Anything more “local” is going to be extremely detrimental to ensuring national consistency, strength and confidence in training programs overall and will def result in haves and have nots.
@1kunalbahl Weren’t they always meant to be a roof over your head and you have all these options for the rest? Why on earth would you expect a hotel to provide you with these extras. This is an absurd take.
