I'm going to add to the millions of #lunareclipse images already circulating the web. This time around I decided to keep photographing throughout the eclipse so that I could capture all the stages. It took a while (about 5h or so) but it was fun #bloodmoon #EclipseLunar #moon

This species is nocturnal and during the day they attach themselves to the bottom of the ocean with an adhesive pad on top of the bell and tuck their tentacles into the bell making it very hard to see.

I'm a day late but...Happy world #Jellyfish Day!!

This image of an interesting jellyfish named Copula sivickisi. It's a species of box jellyfish that is a bit unusual in that they have a mating ritual and internal fertilisation.

The male will pull the female around with one tentacle and then pass over a spermatophore (parcel of sperm) for fertilisation. The male can be identified by his orange gonads on the "bell" and the female by her translucent feather like ones.
