Since Seismic's last AMA, we haven't seen many public updates. But the team warned us about this in advance, saying they would be focusing on development.
From July 3 to October 24, @SeismicSys team made quite a few changes.
https://t.co/In0NoozCbE
October 8: paying gas fees with different tokens.
Developers added the ability to pay transaction fees not only with the network's native token but also with other supported tokens. This is a useful improvement for future financial applications.
September 23: encryption system improvements.
The team updated the encryption key rotation system to help the network process private transactions more reliably.
August 6 and October 19–22: security improvements.
Developers fixed issues that could potentially expose private data. They also strengthened server security and added support for Google Cloud's secure computing environment.
October 9–15: Improvements to fast block processing.
The team improved how the network handles block timing, with millisecond-level precision. This is important for a network where blocks are produced more than once per second.
Seismic's GitHub shows active development. The main focus right now is on security, network stability, and infrastructure for financial applications.

Mickey Mantle and Joe Namath, mobbed by fans on a New York street — the city's outgoing sports king and the brash young quarterback who was taking his place. In 1969 their two eras crossed: one man walked away from the game, the other became the most famous athlete in America, and the two of them became fast friends.
On January 12, 1969, at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Namath made good on his famous guarantee: his New York Jets, 18-point underdogs, stunned the Baltimore Colts 16-7 in Super Bowl III, and Namath was named the game's most valuable player without throwing a touchdown pass. Seven weeks later, on March 1 at spring training in Fort Lauderdale, Mantle announced his retirement — "I can't hit the ball when I need to" — closing an 18-year career with the Yankees: 536 home runs, third on the all-time list behind only Babe Ruth and Willie Mays, three American League MVP awards, the 1956 Triple Crown, 12 pennants and seven World Series titles, and 18 home runs in World Series play, still the most ever hit in the Series. That June, more than 60,000 fans packed Yankee Stadium for Mickey Mantle Day. That August, Mantle and Namath announced a business together at a New York news conference: Mantle Men & Namath Girls, Inc., an employment agency backed by advertising man George Lois and run out of the Chrysler Building. At its peak the agency was placing 500 secretaries a week, and its two famous faces made personal appearances to drum up trade, but the 1969 recession shrank the number of jobs there were to fill, and the company was in bankruptcy by early 1972. Mantle was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 1974, and Namath followed him into the immortals at Canton in 1985.

Yuga Labs has upgraded ApeChain’s official block explorer.
The update gives the team more control over infrastructure supporting Otherside, NFTs and the wider community, while lowering operating costs.
NFT ecosystems need reliable infrastructure just as much as they need new collections.
One of the overlooked costs in distributed systems is sending information that other nodes have already received.
as networks exchange more data, unnecessary duplication can consume bandwidth that could be used for other things. and as the network grows, the cost of moving that data becomes increasingly important.
the interesting part is that not every byte needs to be transmitted independently for nodes to recover the information they need.
this is where techniques like random linear network coding (RLNC) come into play. instead of simply forwarding data packets one by one, nodes can transmit coded combinations of packets that help receivers recover the original data.
it's a different approach to a familiar problem: how do we move information through a network more efficiently?
@get_optimum is exploring how this kind of technology can improve blockchain data transmission.
sometimes, better networking isn't about sending data faster. it's about making every transmission do more work.
⚙️ A useful detail in @Casper_Network's x402 tooling: authorizing a token payment and paying its network fee can be two separate jobs.
🔴 In CSPR cloud’s documented flow, the client signs a payment authorization. The facilitator submits the on-chain transaction and pays the gas, while the payment tokens move from the payer to the recipient.
I find that division of work more interesting than the word “gasless” on its own. The payer can authorize the purchase without also submitting the settlement transaction, while the network fee is handled by the facilitator.
🔺 For a service charging per request, that’s a useful design choice. The purchase price and the cost of executing the payment are separate parts of the experience, even when the app keeps the second part out of the buyer’s way.
10 THINGS TO EXPECT in THE NFL TONIGHT:
MNF: Bills v Rams. 9% Rain, 68°F.
1) The Bills had their flawless start to the season snuffed in Week 4 against The Patriots, and in that loss came another one to DT Ed Oliver -- who remains out with a knee injury tonight.
If there was any takeaway on the Bills' defense last season, it would have been their rush defense; They allowed the most Rush TDs (24) and 3rd most YPC (5.1) in 2025. Oliver played just 3 games last season as well... this will be a big hit.
2) The Rams rush offense has been commonly known as a committee of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, yet in the last two weeks (vs DEN, PHI) Williams has notched >71% snaps, a mark he didn't clear for the final 11 games of his 2025 campaign.
Corum saw just 15% of snaps in Week 4, his lowest of the season.
3) Puka Nacua returned last week to 90% of snaps, racking up 127 scrimmage yards off 12 targets. This Bills coverage unit is sitting Top 10 in zone coverage rate, with 2-HI safety looks of Cover 2/4, and 1-HI of Cover 3.
Nacua's YPRR vs zone is just 1.8 compared to his 6.75 against man, but it's still so early in his season that this is a moot point.
4) Positionally, Buffalo has given up the 3rd highest TGT/RR to Tight Ends... yet Rams just lost Terrance Ferguson (IR), who also was the team leader in target share against zone. Despite what the depth chart claims, the Rams TE1 is Tyler Higbee.
Tight Ends with >60% RS vs BUF:
- Henry 5/5, 62 Yds
- LaPorta 6/7, 52 Yds
- Schultz 4/8, 35 Yds
5) There were 6 running backs to run for 100+ yards this week, could James Cook III join that list. This season, nearly a quarter of James' carries have been explosive runs -- leading the league.
The Rams, who still miss Myles Garrett, have ranked B10 in STUFF% and Yards B4 Contact.
While Rams have allowed a Top 5 backfield target rate, they have boasted the same ranking in the average depth of those targets (aDOT); A lot of dumpoffs, not a lot of meaningful production.
6) The Bills have already ruled out Joshua Palmer, yet also have their top offseason acquisition in DJ Moore questionable. Any reaggravation to Moore's shoulder would be deeply problematic, would prefer (as a fan) for Bills to err on the side of caution.
This already was a tough matchup in the air, with Rams defense allowing the fewest receptions to wideouts.
Keon Coleman has shown his upside, already being halfway to his 2025 yards total, but this spot doesn't seem to provide a ton of upside.
7) As you could infer, they instead have allowed the highest TGT/RR rate to slot receivers. Khalil Shakir is coming off his highest snap rate (76%) and receiving production (7/8, 82 Yds), while now getting another strong matchup.
8) Granted, opposing QBs have generated little production in the air overall (recent to past):
- Hurts 12/27, 93 Yds
- Nix 17/34, 186 Yds
- Winston 11/27, 111 Yds
- Purdy 25/34, 205 Yds
All 4 of these QBs went under their personal pass lines, along with Josh Allen's current 245.5 line. Rams sit 2nd vs Deep Ball Rate.
9/10) KICKERS, D/ST, ETC.
Unsure why you would have Tyler Bass nor Harrison Mevis in your fantasy league, yet each of them also facing a Top 10 defense against Field Goal Att.
These are for differing reasons, as BUF RedZone defense has struggled (69% OPP Score Rate, 23rd), while LAR defense has forced the 4th most Punts.
The Rams have given up just a single RedZone rush touchdown (Allen 📉) while Bills have given up 9 RedZone Pass TDs (Adams 📈).
On Thursday/Monday primetime games, the dogs are 5-0 ATS in the L3 weeks. The O/U is 4-5, in favor of unders.
I could see a path towards the under here (54.5) if both teams generate success on ground, leading to a ton of clock burn.
