@signulll consumer adoption of AI is at 2%
Everyone can cut their own hair. Why do i still pay £25 a cut? Cost/Benefit
Short term is that there's 10000s of new use cases that can be captured by saas
I dont get this argument. People can cut their own hair but go to hairdressers. Maybe simple consumper apps become single-use AI generated apps but anything more complex people will not spend weeks defining their workflows, thinking of edge cases, worrying about security, etc...
Be Salesforce
> investors panic that AI agents will destroy SaaS
> Stock tanks 50%
> launch Agentforce
> launch AIforce
> launch Claudeforce
> explain that agents will now run the enterprise
> global outage
> enterprise no longer running
We should be maximally distrustful of everything the labs say or do
They have internal models far more intelligent than we can use
And they use these models to run scenarios on strategy, maximising their own goals over ours
Everything they do and say is calculated, to optimise their self interest, by trillion parameter models with more inference than global govts combined
Translation: our gross margins are getting competed down to 0 by open source models and our capex burn rate is too high.
Let’s maintain our margins with regulatory capture, ban open source models, and slow down the capex arms race. All with a virtue signaling cherry on top.
Who had most to gain? 🤔
The lab about to IPO whose CEO needs extra runway
The guy who owns the channel whose algorithm somehow promoted a tweet to 150m views?
Seems pointless when open weights come out 2 months later at a tenth of the price
Chamath @chamath: how does an account with no followers get 110 million views in a day?
David Sacks @DavidSacks had an answer, on the same All-In @theallinpod taping. Within 15 minutes of the Anthropic researcher's doomsday resignation post, three policy groups amplified it: ENCODE AI's Nathan Calvin, the AI Policy Network's Peter Wildeford, and the AI Futures Project's Daniel Kokotajlo, who dropped a Rogan episode the same day using the same phrasing. All three groups are funded by Jaan Tallinn, who co-led Anthropic's Series A. The Wall Street Journal published a story on the resignation minutes before the tweets went out, meaning the paper had been briefed under embargo. The researcher had agreed to appear on the show and cancelled the morning of taping.

The £20 codex plan has to be the best vale in AI right now. Let Luna rip all day doing computer use tasks, then switch over to ChatGPT for a double bubble Astra allowance
