Just finished this book by @joosterizer, which had great detail on the business history of the video game industry.
I wish there were more primers written like this. What are some other industry primers that people like?

Why launch tokens when you don’t need it
There are many projects with real revenue (30d), but without tokens
@AxiomExchange - $8.6M
@gmgnai - $8M
@phantom - $7.9M
@MetaMask - $3.2M
We also have @dexscreener with $1M in revenue and 7.2M of visitors for the last month
Projects should have a reason to launch their tokens rather than just for the sake of it
I don't think every web3 game needs to have some artificial ponzi baked into it. Nor does it require its players to "play 2 earn" phillipino style
Just have the token unlock extra perks, gear, skills, gameplay etc. And focus on building an actually fun game
Simple.
The new Overworld dungeons are insane. Procedural generation means infinite levels to run, but the custom open world is still there, too.
Feels like open-world exploration meets a rogue-lite creature-capturer.
With fucking amazing graphics.
🔁 Homeland rewards are finally moving from $AXS → $bAXS.
This should have happened over a year ago.
Bounty Board bots + scholars/exploiters ended up putting constant pressure on emissions and weakening $AXS.
✔️ Good to see it addressed.
But let’s be clear:
This only fixes the emission side. Not the demand side.
Today:
• @AxieInfinity Core has seen no meaningful changes in years
• Origins generates no real burn
• Since there have been no balance changes in Origins, there are no incentives for breeding, ascensions, or evolutions
If $AXS has no real use, reducing emissions is not enough.
This is just the first step.
👉 What changes or improvements do you think @SkyMavisHQ should urgently prioritize?
For my part, I’m more interested (even far more than Atia’s Legacy) in:
• continuous support for existing games
• progress on Axie Core
• Terrarium as a replacement for Homeland

Take-Two CEO finds it laughable that some people believe AI could create a GTA 6 competitor at the push of a button.
“Creating a hit of that magnitude does require human engagement and creativity.”

Probably something like that. Am I wrong?
