From #Gaza to the #DRC, women & girls suffer the most in humanitarian crises.
Yet, they are often the first to respond and find solutions.
The international community must increase support to women & girls facing crises and address their specific needs.
Our hearts are with all those impacted in #Kenya. Global humanitarian need has never been greater – and climate change largely explains a five-fold increase in natural disasters in the past 50 years. As always, inspired by our amazing colleagues on the frontlines.
We are equally inspired by you @AnitaZaidi . Thanks for your tireless advocacy on behalf of women everywhere.
So proud to be part of the @womenlifthealth family. Women ( and men allies) lifting women until we are represented equally at the highest leadership platforms.

As we learned in @CARE's Fast and Fair COVID-19 campaign, fairness, efficiency and equity are essential in global health – and investing in frontline healthcare workers is how to achieve all three.

It is estimated that 50,000 women are pregnant and 160 are giving birth each day in #Gaza. May mothers and children living in conflict, from Gaza to #Israel to #Sudan, find hope and peace in the coming New Year.

If we give women and girls the same access to education, finance, health, and safety as men and boys, more people in the world will have enough to eat.

Today is the 60th Anniversary of the day MLK delivered his iconic "I Have a Dream" Speech. While we reflect on the progress we've made, we acknowledge the work that still lies ahead to deliver on Dr. King's dream of a world free from prejudice and discrimination. #IHaveADream60
#EidMubarak to all those celebrating ✨🌙
Eid Al-Adha is the second and largest Eid holiday in Islam. It is celebrated by all Muslims worldwide for four days. The day of Eid marks the completion of the annual pilgrimage (Hajj) in Mecca where pilgrims visit the Kabbah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia and engage in various religious rituals. Over 2.5 million pilgrims attended Hajj this year making it the largest pilgrimage in history. The community celebrates the four days with their loved ones as everyone wears their best outfit, exchanges gifts, and attends family and friends’ dinners throughout the holiday.
Wishing everyone a blessed Eid. May the best outfit win!
Humanitarian funding is a matter of life and death. We cannot take our eyes off the #hunger crisis before us & must take decisive action to end it & prevent future ones.

I spent 3 days with some amazing women working in global. Exciting to be embarking on a year-long leadership journey, to reflect on how we can be more impactful in the spaces we engage in, to improve global health. Thanks to @ShereenBhan_GH and all the amazing facilitators.
Frontline health workers are the ones that take care of us when we’re sick, when we need a shot, when our children need help; they are the lynchpin of health systems. But too often their work is unrecognized and underappreciated. https://t.co/c40WWm36Xf
