In 1931, Otto Warburg did not discover ‘the root cause of cancer.’

He won the Nobel Prize for describing cellular respiration enzymes, not cancer causation, not cancer treatment, and not a metabolic cure that medicine ‘ignored.’

The Warburg effect — increased glycolysis in cancer cells — is a phenomenon, not an explanation. Cancer cells use altered metabolism because they are cancerous, not the other way around. It is downstream biology, not first cause.

If Warburg had discovered the true cause of cancer:
• oncogenes would be irrelevant
• tumor suppressor genes would be irrelevant
• carcinogens would be irrelevant
• radiation-induced mutations would be irrelevant

This is not how reality works.

Cancer is driven by genetic mutations, clonal selection, and microenvironmental pressures. Metabolism adapts afterward. Every modern cancer textbook agrees on this.

The idea that ‘the world ignored Warburg’ is ahistorical self-flattery — the comforting belief that complexity was solved once and suppressed ever since.

Science did not ignore Warburg.
Science built on him, corrected him, and moved on.

Cancer biology is hard.
Slogans are easy.
That should tell you who is selling what.
