📌The ETM has saved the lives of 3097 people, of whom 2621 have since been resettled to third countries.

The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Army Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Vincent Nyakarundi, held a bilateral meeting with his French counterpart, Gen Pierre Schill, Chief of Staff of the French Army, on the sidelines of Eurosatory 2026, the international land, air defence and security exhibition in Paris.

Today, members of @UnityClubRw, @RwandaGov institutions, security organs, and former combatants from FDLR and other armed groups have come together to confront the painful past, reflect on the devastating impact of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, and reaffirm a shared commitment to unity and peace.

Here at Mutobo, stories of return, transformation, and reconciliation are being told by those who once carried weapons against Rwanda but now carry a new vision for their country.

It is a reminder that Rwanda’s strength lies not only in defeating division, but in transforming minds, restoring dignity, and rebuilding lives.

From 1994 genocide against the Tutsi to liberation, from exile in FDLR (DRC) to reintegration, Rwanda’s journey remains one of courage, truth, and resilience.

Today is proof that healing is not a dream, it is happening, and Rwanda continues to lead by example.
