Some news, @andressrg@juanesarango and i just won our first hackathon in San Francisco!!
We will share more details later about what we built but i just wanted to share the news cuz i’m fucking happy🥹!!!!
Thanks @OpenAI@OpenAIDevs@wandb and all the sponsors, organizers and judges for this amazing experience
A key takeaway from my experience with @DSPyOSS and GEPA:
The prompts GEPA creates during optimization often help me understand the task I’m working on more deeply
As GEPA runs through my examples, initial instructions, traces, and prompt candidates, it identifies patterns and nuances that then get explicitly written into the final prompt.
Often when I then read the resulting prompts those patterns and nuances are new to me yet correct!
Whole #genomesequencing, a process which is used widely to improve treatments of difficult-to-diagnose diseases as well as for genetic screening of newborns, has given hope to patients with certain rare #cancers.
In a feature for @Newsweek, MSK scientists and doctors, including @PapaemmanuilLab, a computational oncologist at MSK, reveal how genes are mapping cures for cancer.
"For many cancer types, outcomes have completely changed," Dr. Papaemmanuil says. "We have seen tumor types that were incurable now be cured without even giving them chemotherapy."

Best hour of the day: listening to @PapaemmanuilLab describe the 10 yr journey of her lab dissecting the molecular mechanisms of myeloid neoplasia that have so significantly informed our field of #hemepath 👏🏼 @SocforHemepath

It has been a blast and honor to host the @CompOncMSK Emerging leaders symposium, meet our awardees & celebrate the way computational oncology is pushing our understanding of cancer biology and informs
future practices in clinical oncology. @MSKCancerCenter
Our @NatureGenet study https://t.co/cmUo8MRYd8 involved analysis of 470 samples from 283 patients. To support data visualization, display analysis logic & enable interpretation of results we developed an interactive web app. Check it out on: https://t.co/TyNViEgQzF
