@GabyCaruso54 Hey gaby! Thank you for your kind words. I really liked how your portfolio was set up. It is very well done, visually pleasing and easy to go through! I hope you have a great rest of summer (even though it’s only two weeks) and wish you luck in your future classes & work! #APR542
This class challenged me in an unexpected way. I really enjoyed leaning into my creativity & had so much fun trying to create a website! I am excited to share my final creation with the world. I feel it truly reflects my personal brand and passions #APR542

@GraceCummins22 Hey grace! I used Wix too and I like how you set yours up. I especially like that you had a photo cover for each assignment in the portfolio. It’s all done so well & looks great. I can’t believe summer is over already! I wish you luck in your future classes as well. RTR! #APR542
@haileywburns Hey hailey! I shared something similar but with my favorite team the Cincinnati Reds. I think that any sports media should be kept short, to the point & based on the stats not opinion. So, I love that they use stats & link additional content. It adds to their credibility! #APR542
@BrockParkerAPR Hi Brock
The “autocado” is very clever and punny, which I believe Chipotle social media is know for! I think that having the steps on how it’s done and including pictures is really beneficial for readers. I definitely wouldn’t understand how it will work without visuals #APR542
When the Cincinnati Reds finally called up Elly De La Cruz, the city erupted with joy. Fans had been begging the team to bring up the top prospect from the minors. This announcement from the MLB captures the excitement & pure happiness of Reds fans #APR542

@JessikaWhite Jessika, iCarly is an incredible GIF to use for this prompt. I absolutely agree with your points. The third one especially. It is so important for brands to build community with fans and the way to do that is definitely directly engaging with them & doing it consistently. #APR542
@beodom1 Hey Brianna, these are all great points! Brands should definitely be consistent but not overbearing and definitely keep things simple. I really like your second point. I personally get so irritated when all brands post on Instagram are reels. I want pictures on Instagram! #APR542
I wrote my blog about the importance of brands building a community with fans and followers. I believe that the best practices for brands is to:
1. be authentic to their voice
2. aware of current events & trends
3. adaptable to the ever-changing social media landscape. #APR542
@laurenschmidl Totally agree! It feels like a natural conversation. When we think of Ben Affleck, we think of Boston. When we think of Boston, we think of Dunkin! They all compliment each other well. Featuring Ben also goes with its slogan, “America Runs on Dunkin” - even movie stars! #APR542
@BrockParkerAPR@BamaAPR This is a great example! Our family group chat loved this video when it came out. It is hilarious, silly lighthearted fun. Even though the people shown in the video might not have known the right answers, I think it’s a fun way for the Titans to engage with the community! #APR542
Duolingo is my favorite example of this. It is on top of trends and funny. Sometimes the TikToks have nothing to do with what the business is, but it gets viewers laughing then checking out its profile to see more (and hopefully download the app)! #APR542

@haileywburns Hey Hailey, I read this article too! I do see how AI could be incredibly helpful in managing social media for big companies. However, I can’t help but feel sad about it all. Part of what has made social media so exciting and fun is the genuine human connection behind it! #APR542
@beodom1 Thank you for sharing this, Brianna. We tend to get excited about the latest tech trends and advancements often without thinking of the negatives. AI can be very scary & dangerous if used in such ways. I remember when “deep fakes” started popping up in 2019, it’s no joke! #APR542
There has been a lot of AI generated media lately, but the best example I’ve seen is an account called Lil Miquela. This AI marketing tool has been an influencer since 2016, amusing and confusing followers on whether or not she is real ever since. #APR542 https://t.co/k51AuS4FPS
@bamagrad2023apr I 100% agree. There have been answers I am surprised by and things I didn’t think mattered actually do! I am still learning and getting used to these rules. I am glad to have this reference and I will definitely continue to use this guidebook as I begin & build my career. #APR542
@laurenschmidl Hi Lauren, I agree! I truly didn’t think blogs were still relevant. I chose Rare Beauty for my company and they have a blog on their website. It is important for Rare specifically to have a blog because it reflects the company’s mission of building a community with fans. #APR542
I think the AP stylebook has been the most beneficial thing I’ve learned in this class. I feel like my undergrad professors weren’t worried about the little details so much as content (history) but in this field it is vital. I’m still adjusting to it but glad to have it! #APR542
@laurenschmidl Emma was a great choice for Lancôme. She has really elevated herself from internet celebrity to fashion star starting with her collaboration with Louis Vuitton. It is a great way for Lancôme to broaden their audience and introduce a new, younger generation to their brand #APR542
