@jaimebaffuto I wouldn't use TikTok either. I think the idea of producing short form videos as part of an assignment might be a cool tie in for students but you are correct that monitoring the content students are interacting with is very difficult on the app #wuedt6020

@Bandajuma001 I can definitely see Facebook being a distraction. I think many of the features that would be useful in the classroom on Facebook could also be found in a more classroom friendly tool or app. Classdojo's event feed comes to mind as an alternative. #wuedt6020

@KtestaWilmu I would probably avoid using TikTok too. I know our district has it blocked from the WIFI so it isnt even an option. And I definitely think it is having an impact on attention spans I dont know if I have enough data to say is it decreasing their intelligence as a whole #wuedt6020

@DoretyC43265 It is similar to Blooket! However, of the two I definitely prefer Gimkit. With Gimkit students have way more control over events and power ups so they can practice logic and strategy. I would say Gimkit is definitely the better option for HS level!

@swking_1998 AI can be integrated into the classroom to help modify texts for students. Many students need modified or translated readings to help them succeed. Pro: AI would be a great time saving tool to do this . Con: AI writing may not make sense or be hard to understand. #wuedt6020

@LDeVault002 One way I think it could thrive is using it as a differentiation tool. Students could "level up" as they master concepts and work at an accelerated pace (with check ins built in). Students who need more help would have access to more direct instruction as needed. #wuedt6020

@tompgavin I would use Instagram with my students. Since I teach geography it would be cool to have students collaborate on a "travel" page and post about the different regions we are learning about. Students could also interact with other classes through comments and replies. #wuedt6020

@DoretyC43265 @tompgavin I love using virtual field trips with my students! You should definitely take a look at Google Arts and Culture! They partnered with a number of museums and historical sites to host VR tours and their app is pretty user friendly. #wuedt6020

@tompgavin I plan use gamification in my classroom. My school already utilizes PBIS and two of our point focuses are achievement and responsibility so I can use those to reward task completion and growth. I will also utilize the Schoology badge system for rewards as well. #wuedt6020
