How do nonlinear oscillations generate thermodynamic dissipation?
Our new arXiv preprint with @ito_sosuke and @oizumim introduces a Koopman-based framework that breaks down dissipation in nonlinear dynamics into contributions from oscillatory modes. https://t.co/XVBWFXMF6Z

In our new preprint, we identify a clozapine-responsive prefrontal ensemble that stabilizes decision-making under NMDA receptor hypofunction.
We further show that this ensemble can be rationally reactivated by multi-receptor pharmacology.

Excited to share our new findings on how internal states dynamically modulate the population dynamics!
This was only possible due to the amazing mentorship of @SurLabMIT and @timbuschman!
Check it out here!

Honored to receive the Young Investigator Award from the JNS. Deeply grateful to my lab members, collaborators, and mentors.
At NEURO2026, we’ll host a symposium with rising stars in sleep research. Please stop by if attending.

How can RNNs learn continuously without forgetting? 🧠
Our new preprint shows how a predictive learning rule organizes recurrent dynamics into orthogonal manifolds, reducing task interference.
Congrats Zihan @Lewieliu987!

We analytically reveal when and how resource limitations induce phase transitions in optimal estimation strategies, and characterize their discontinuous, non-monotonic, and scaling behaviors.
Just out! “The astrocytic ensemble acts as a multiday trace to stabilize memory.” We identified astrocytic ensembles that link experiences across days to stabilize memory https://t.co/po9zIlZvPb. New astrocyte tools are openly available at Addgene: https://t.co/OXCmcYSleI. 1/8
Now out in @eLife !
Combining machine-learning algorithm and whole-cell patch-clamp/LFP recordings revealed that synaptic responses from 5 mossy cells could predict about 30% of total SWRs.
