Every year the Sangai Festival celebrates the diversity & the rich multicultural heritage of #Manipur.

Here are some glimpse of Manipur during the #SangaiFestival 2015 - the only one I have had the pleasure of attending.

‼️The persistent endeavor by #KukiNarcoterrorists to homogenize the population in certain parts of Manipur will fail miserably.

‼️The efforts of some to erroneously depict Manipur as a bastion of xenophobia and intolerance, constituting a broader demonization campaign against the Meiteis, will also fail miserably.

‼️ This tragic ethnic violence that erupted on May 3, 2023, has to led to over 130 deaths and displacement of more than 60,000 people. People have fled to seek shelter after their homes were burnt and belongings looted. A plea for peace echoes amid the ruins.
