@MarinerMuse Criswell Crisswell’d How does Dan justify using him up 3 in the 7th? He got zero outs and leverage relievers had to do the work in a LEVERAGE situation.
It’s been more than a decade since state anglers last fished the lower Skokomish for hatchery salmon, but some haven’t given up on being able to one day again run a bobber and eggs down the Hood Canal river.

BOOOOOO.
“The information from the ocean is used in so many ways, and it's so few and far between, that it's really just so sad to lose these treasures,” University of Washington oceanographer Jan Newton said.
The flesh-eating New World screwworm has been found in Texas, with the parasite infecting at least one animal – a 3-week-old calf, according to the USDA.
The screwworm fly usually infests livestock and other warm-blooded animals – including, in rare cases, people – by laying its eggs in open wounds or orifices such as the eyes, ears, nose or mouth, which can then eat living tissue or flesh once they hatch, according to the CDC.
CBS News' Jason Allen has more from Texas.
Hey WA,
I need your help.
I am asking @GovBobFerguson to call a special session to suspend the CCA to immedietly lower gas prices and utilities.
If you want Bob to suspend the CCA to help working families and lower gasoline and electricity costs then share this post and like it.
Others in the legislator are starting to call for it.
Let's see if Bob actually cares about working class people in Washington.

Edge Derick Hall and the Seahawks reached agreement today on a three-year, $42 million extension that could be worth up to $46.5 million and includes $21 million guaranteed, per his agents Chad Berger and Ezra J Thompson. Hall is now under contract to Seattle the 2029 season.
Hall had two sacks and a forced fumble during the Seahawks' Super Bowl LX win over the Patriots.
The reason we think dandelions are weeds is because of a 1950s marketing campaign.
Dandelions, native to Europe and Asia, were brought to North America in the 1600s by European colonists who grew them deliberately.
Every part is edible. The leaves are a salad green, the flowers were made into wine, and the roots were roasted as a coffee substitute and used medicinally for liver and kidney conditions for thousands of years. They were a kitchen-garden staple well into the 1800s.
The shift happened after World War II, when 2,4-D (originally developed for chemical warfare research) was approved as a residential herbicide. Companies like Scotts built the modern lawn-care industry around the idea that a perfect green lawn meant zero broadleaf plants.
Dandelions, being bright yellow and resistant to mowing, became a visible enemy, and the campaign worked. By the 1970s, "dandelion-free" was synonymous with "well-kept."
They aren't native, but they aren't doing significant ecological harm either. The herbicides used to kill them, on the other hand, kill bees, contaminate groundwater, and have been linked to non-Hodgkin lymphoma in humans.
If you hate dandelions, it's most likely due to a marketing campaign that ran before you were born.
More Neah Bay! Ash gets hot and starts hooking a bunch of fish. And then the question of to what level will you stoop to keep lings when there are very few to be found inside and the weather sucks outside. It’s a question of self-respect and basic dignity! 🤣
Oregon wildlife officials will lift the bag limit for harvesting rainbow trout and bass at three eastern Oregon reservoirs that are likely to go dry this summer, likely killing tens of thousands of fish: https://t.co/5LCTgqYsa2
'State weighs proposed toll increases on I-405 and SR-167'
But its more than just toll increases (to $18). On the table is also tolling 405 during weekends, and requiring 3 people most times for the use of the HOV Flex Pass.
Lets take a walk back in time to see how we got here, shall we?
* In 2015, the first HOT lane opened on 405 with a $10 Max Toll. The law was written that HOT lane traffic had to be moving at a minimum 45mph for 90% of the time AND revenue goals met. This had to be accomplished by the end of a 2yr trial.
* In 2017 when the trial was up, the HOT lanes did NOT achieve the minimum 45mph required to keep operating. That is where then Attorney General Bob Ferguson stepped in.
* AG Bob Ferguson told the state the AND was actually an OR, and the state could continue operating the 405 HOT lanes, even though it failed to achieve its goals set in the RCW
* In 2024, the Max Toll on 405 was increased by 50% to $15. The state said 'that toll rate would rarely happen'. Data shows it happens on about 80% of the time on morning commutes.
Back to 2026.
Governor Ferguson appointed the members of the Washington State Transportation Commission. They are not elected.
The WSTC is now looking at two options:
A)
Toll 405 during the weekends (currently free).
Extend peak hours for toll requirement.
Require 3+ HOV during peak hours
B)
Max Toll to $18
Extend peak hours for toll requirement
Toll 405 during the weekends
Require 3+ HOV during peak hours.
(It's going to be option B guys, because why wouldn't they?)
So to recap; an unelected board is seriously talking about raising the toll rate to 80% over what it was 11 years ago, on lanes that (still) fail to achieve rules set out by the legislature, that require a $15 flex pass to use HOV, which is also about to be raised to 3 people.
But they pinkie promise tolls will rarely hit that $18 max toll...
