Gairdner International Symposium on Cell Signaling in Cancer-great success and first event in our new research building. Outstanding talks and discussions, thanks to @GairdnerAwards and @AxeOnco for their support, and Emilie, Anne-Marie, Michel and Nicolas for their hard work.
I wrote a memoir for Michael Grunstein, a pioneer in histone biology and epigenetics, for @theNASciences. Read about his incredible personal journey and how his career unfolded. https://t.co/lWIAXB804x

Indeed, clearly supporting the idea that NuA4/TIP60 does not use the same molecular mechanism as SRCAP to engage nucleosomes in order to incorporate H2A.Z. The multiplicity of histone mark reader modules in NuA4 likely playing a role.
Please also take a look at related work by @rklouder and Carl Wu at @HopkinsMedicine diving into different functional states of the human SRCAP remodeler and a comparison with TIP60. Recently out in @biorxivpreprint

So happy this is finally out. Fantastic collaboration with @NogalesLab to obtain high resolution structure of the human NuA4/TIP60 complex and investigate the function of the TRRAP subunit in recruitment. https://t.co/OuyfTe5eaP
In humans, the essential TIP60 complex is a fusion of 2 molecular assemblies that in yeast perform different functions:
-NuA4 ➡️ a histone acetyltransferase.
-SWR1 ➡️ a chromatin remodeler that incorporates H2A.Z in promoter and enhancer-proximal nucleosomes.

@doyonlab ours is coming out tomorrow... only TIP60, a few 3 liters preps along the way, from the cell lines from Cell Rep 2015 (https://t.co/6tVGXeqBZo)... I see that they were not able to get NCP-bound TIP60 structures either... we tried with different substrates
Is anyone interested in coming to work with the amazing crowd at the Cuella Martin lab and our cool projects?
An RA position will open soon, stay tuned!
@Y2K1263 @TrumanLab I feel there is a growing number of companies that now offer the service of endogenous tagging with CRISPR. Promega is one https://t.co/mIiIsXHIwN and Cyagen is another one https://t.co/ZhcOemgo9C
