@JosephKahn Fair enough. They're there, but Nolan probably couldn't care less. He's just had a huge film with an all-white cast. The whole discussion's superimposed.
@JosephKahn It's just weird to pin all that on Christopher Nolan of all people. It's just one of the most successful filmmakers churning out another one. The idea that he feels the need to cater to a political side, when he's never done that before and he's just come off his biggest film...
@WrestlerHauser The clip got me even more excited: https://t.co/7ojtSudNM3
Na Hong-jin's filmography is insane, to debut with "The Chaser", and then add "The Yellow Sea" and "The Wailing"?
@firstshowing The Berlinale used to take place in the summer, they moved it to February in 1978, to be earlier than Cannes, I guess. It's a mystery to me why noone thought about the weather.
@firstshowing And first steps were taken. The Kosslick bloat had been reduced already. The festival was just excessive - anyone remember the "culinary cinema" section? It doesn't help that the theaters are too spread out now that the Cinestar at Potsdamer Platz is gone. I'm cautiously hopeful.
@firstshowing I guess what I am trying to say is that it's too early to call for a boycott. Tuttle has not been replaced by some stooge yet. Let's wait and see how this plays out. I found the highly politicized atmosphere strange. Why would I care about Channing Tatum's feelings about Gaza?
