Aircrafts lined up by manufacturers for IAF MRFA were : Eurofighter, Gripen, F-15EX, F/A-18 , F-21, Rafale , Su-35 and MiG-35.

F21 was out as technecally obsolete as far as IAF was concerned . Also MiG-35 and FA/ 18 limped out early in the race , agitating the USA administration .

Finally F15 EX also bit the dust alongwith others and Rafale was the winner . The Americans would have accepted losing to the Russians but could'nt digest losing to the French .😅😅

Now IAF has been vindicated .

On 15 Sep, a Saudi Air Force F-15SA was shot down by a Houthis SAM
over Yemen. The Houthis subsequently released footage also .

Earlier in Mar USAF had lost three F-15E shot down over Kuwait. On 03 April, a F-15E was shot down over western Iranby shoulder fired SAM.

F-15SA-class aircraft being shot down by a militant group that is being supported by older Iranian technologies has now questioned the efficacy of these modern fighters even in a less contested environment.

Houthi rebels have also shot down multiple U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drones, at least 10 confirmed / claimed .The US military lost at least 45 MQ-9 Reaper drones during the war on Iran .

India Is Taking Its 30kW Laser Weapon to Mass Production. 🇮🇳

DRDO is planning an EoI within six months to select an industry partner for mass production of its indigenous 30kW Directed Energy Weapon.

The system is designed to engage drones, UAVs and hostile surveillance systems using a high-energy laser, with the cost of neutralising targets drastically reduced compared with conventional interceptors.

With drone swarms becoming a major feature of modern warfare, a weapon that can engage multiple low-cost aerial threats without using an expensive missile for every target could become extremely valuable.

This is exactly where India needs to be ahead of the curve. 🇮🇳

Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Highlights Rapid Progress on India’s Bullet Train Project.

Union Minister for Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the rapid progress of the Mumbai–Amdavad High-Speed Rail project, with the first section targeted to commence service in 2027.

Key Highlights

• Construction of the first Bullet Train section is expected to be completed by December this year.

• Extensive testing will be undertaken before the train enters service.

• Major components, including the car body, bogie, propulsion system, vehicle electronics, wheels and pantograph, are progressing.

• The train is currently undergoing a squeeze test to assess its body strength.

India is now the world’s 2nd-largest manufacturer across several major sectors — steel, cement, automobiles and refining — while also emerging as a major manufacturer of mobile phones and solar modules.

Tracing its roots to the reign of Maharaja Irengba in 984 AD, and later formalised as an annual observance by Maharaja Bhagyachandra in 1779, the festival remains a proud symbol of our cultural and spiritual heritage.

Celebrated at the historic moat of Bijoy Govinda, Sagolband, Heikru Hidongba brings together prayer, tradition and the iconic boat race, with wishes for peace, prosperity and the collective well-being of our people.

Happy to witness this sacred celebration today in the presence of Hon’ble Governor Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla. I also appreciate Hon’ble MLA Shri @imosingh Ji for his active role in ensuring that this important tradition continues to be celebrated with such spirit.
