Greenland is greening! It's great to see this research published in @SciReports by Michael Grimes and Jonathan Carrivick. It brings back great fieldwork memories! https://t.co/PzBBPITfRD @SoGLeeds
A recently published paper (https://t.co/YS7XT4MJMs) is getting some traction: we mapped vegetation changes as a result of ice loss on the Greenland Ice Sheet. I did the change analysis using GW binomial regression.

@brianmoore666 Just a suggestion: Give them to a local second hand bookshop - they’re getting slaughtered by book donations to charities. Give them your unwanted mint clothes instead?
To quote ourselves, these features mean that the analysis of these types of data should be "spatial by default", and encourage inter-disciplinary collaboration with those in the geographical sciences to help transfer decades of knowledge from that domain
So happy, particularly for my student (@LZormpas), that the editors saw the value in this commentary. Thanks also to the helpful reviewers. And of course coauthors @lexcomber and @rachelq_ncl!
A lovely piece of work to be involved in. It addresses a critical gap in ST methods which currently do not take account of important considerations & therefore do not take full advantage of the opportunities afforded by location! #SpatialTranscriptomics#rstats#rspatial
Our Perspective "Mapping the Transcriptome - realising the full potential of spatial data analysis" is out today in @CellCellPress https://t.co/algatKqe0U. A short thread on this work follows...

Been nice knowing you all but X under Musk is not the experience it was, so I won't stay if this happens. I will however miss some of you, feel I've made some friends. Elon Musk says Twitter, now X, is to charge all users subscription fees https://t.co/j1AE4mFmuU
Hey Patrick! we are super pleased that you had a good time. It was an impressive showing by the #GIScience community, in terms of numbers, contribution and fun (!). We were fortunate to have a fantastic conference team behind us.

Reflections on @GIScience_conf... I had a great week, and couldn't condense my thoughts into a tweet (are they still called tweets anymore?🧐), so I wrote a blog post: https://t.co/eOVnldFD8d
Super thanks to @lexcomber@ajheppenstall and @nickmalleson for an awesome week💚🤟
Bye bye #Leeds and @GIScience_conf! 👋🏻 It was such an inspiring conference! 💯 Really felt like coming home to see family after long covid years! 🤗 Thanks @lexcomber@ajheppenstall @nickmalleson and others for organizing a great event! 👏🏻🙏😊
