@antiantimormon Whoa, did you pray to know that Sam Bateman wasn’t a true prophet? If you didn’t get a confirmation that he was, you need to pray again with real intent. Those girls sure thought he was. They put all their trust in God, or at least enough trust to marry someone 2-3x their age.

@antiantimormon I encourage you to watch “Trust Me: The False Prophet” on Netflix. Weren’t those women/girls “trusting God”? They actually believed they were doing His will by marrying Sam Bateman. They all had testimonies of it “from God”. What’s the difference between Sam Bateman and JS or BY?

@BigWhale777777 @RandomLDS The actual funny thing is that the Book of Mormon teaches a different God than what the church actually believes today. Joseph’s early theology of God was modalistic. They changed parts of the BOM later as the theology shifted. Mosiah 15 still shines as a prime example though.
