@PamBalamm @Albany__Rose Expectant mothers need emotional support, not angry rhetoric. Bearing children is hard and can be scary. So they need to hear, from friends and family and strangers, messages of hope. The pro life message shares hope.

The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.

@RonDuncan7@JamesRod1776@RadioactiveIM3 I'm pretty sure that killing people during church, at their church, with stated intent to kill them for their faith, would count as a matter of fact, and if you will not accept that bullying children because of their faith is persecution, I'm not sure how to help you.
@JamesRod1776@RadioactiveIM3 Put yourself in the shoes of a girl who believes in Christ, whose "friends" at school refuse to invite her to parties because she's "Mormon," or tell her she's worshipping a demon, ostracizing and insulting her because of her beliefs.

Oyher pastors get paid for preaching. We don't.
They would rather not lose their bread and butter.
We have an open mic Testimony once a month. They can speak then, if they so choose. In these meetings, generally a speaker speaks for 2-3 minutes and bears witness of Christ and the Gospel.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I believe it is the one and only true church of Christ on earth.
We don’t have to agree theologically. There is room in the world for many ideas.
If you want to attack my choice or come after my friends and fellow saints online about it, I don’t have room for you in this space. In that regard, you are not welcome here.
Who *is* welcome here is anyone else regardless of where/if you attend church on Sunday (or Saturday.)
There is so much persecution and bigotry already about my church, I refuse to passively allow it on my little corner of the internet.
If you are not a member there are things you may not be aware of about my church and its members.
1. We read the Bible. In fact, Pew Research and Rasmussen both say we read it more than ANY other religions.
2. Our youth study the scriptures intensively all throughout high school. Every day of high school, they attend seminary classes and study The Bible, the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price (collectively known as “The Standard Works.”
3. While our temples are special and only those worthy and willing to keep the covenants we learn about inside may enter, our meeting houses joyfully welcome all visitors every Sunday and anyone in my area can come with me any Sunday. If you aren’t in my area, I have friends here from many parts of the world and the US who will extend the same invitation.
4. We are prayerful, service-minded folk. If you need prayers, we are Zions Army.
5. My testimony is firm. My parents disowned and disinherited me for being a member. One of my siblings nearly beat me because of religious differences, I’ve lost a job and friends because I refused to denounce my faith and affiliation or even to water it down. Your words are but empty vessels in that regard.
6. In 1844 Missouri Governor Lilburn Boggs issued Executive Order 44 which authorized and ordered the extermination of all members of my church. Among Christian religions, we are still today the most persecuted in the United States. Hateful rhetoric is still present at sporting events, on social media, and every online platform. You can find so much misinformation about my beliefs. Just as the Governor of Missouri and President Taft, and the people of Hancock country chose not only to understand these beliefs but perpetuated falsehoods and encouraged violence, today’s attitudes are not much different. I don’t agree with many people theologically, but I don’t use disparaging language and dangerous rhetoric to address the differences. Insulting people and tearing them down is not usually an effective means to change.
7. I’m not in a cult. I could leave any time I felt so inclined. I’m not.
And it came to pass" as a section marker is standard ancient text behavior. It's a textual proof of the Book of Mormon.
Moroni lived after Christ visited the Americas. Christ knew John quite well as one of His Apostles, so there's at least one source for the mention of John.
The gold plates were shown to a group of 3 men...and also to a group of 8 men...and also to individuals, including women. It is ok for more than 3 people to see something.
There is more to discuss, obviously, but there's three points for consideration.
Back before the world was made, Our Father had a plan for his children to become like Him. His Eldest Son offered to give His life so we could have the possibility of returning Home - to Heaven.
Another son rebelled, taking 1/3 of the children of God with him.
The Son came down, lived a sinless life, suffered for our sins, died, and resurrected on the third day so we could return Home -if we so choose.
We're here to see whether we will choose light or darkness, to seek out truth or hide it, to become a help or hindrance to one another.
Everything else follows from that plot.
If there is anything true, virtuous, lovely, or praiseworthy, we seek after those things. Indeed, we may say that we follow th admonition of Paul - we believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things and hope to be able to endure all things.
In September of 2007 I was working an NSA watch floor. During the ‘hand down’ brief (shift change) some folks working a MENA shop informed us that Israel had destroyed a covert nuke site in Syria. They’d used electronic jammers to fly silent and destroy the site in the dead of night. The Syrians had the site bulldozed over before the sun came because they did not want to acknowledge their violation of the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel allowed it to stay silent because they wanted to avoid conflict from spreading in the region or possibly further. This is now all declassified. Google it.
Israel does stuff like that….A LOT. Now, 20 years later, they have become a technological superpower that punches further above its weight than any country its size in human history. To reject Israel as an ally would be the height of stupidity. China sure hopes we view them as an enemy, that I can tell you.
My husband voted for you. His ballot was dropped off with mine at a dropbox.
I tracked mine, it showed it was received June 5th! My husband’s ballot has disappeared. Not only that-his information seems to have disappeared from the tracking and the registered voting websites. It’s saying *invalid credentials. Waiting for an email response from SOS. **I suggest everyone track their ballot to see if it was received.**
