@ChadSteingraber@zzinovvv If one could get these groups to settle with XRP instead of using it as a means of transfer, imagine the tailwind for FXRP if they can position themselves in front of it over at @FlareNetworks@HugoPhilion
@daphnezohar 100% agree, and one of the most important opportunities for classically trained scientists/engineers to evolve into biotechnology leaders. Great science and business/operational execution complement each other, not fight each other.
@elonmusk New York City — the epitome of what this could represent. It’s the original source of MAGA (e.g. Trump) and at risk of electing one of the most extreme left/liberal mayors. If ever there was a city that needs the center, and is so critical to the USA and the world, it is NYC.
#Congestionpricing Fact: I commute from Fairfield County, CT, to the Flatiron District in Manhattan, approximately 2X/week. My commute time has absolutely decreased, ~30-45 minutes per day. I hate paying another toll. I hate the financial burden this places on everyday New Yorkers. But, if you ask me would I pay $18/week to gain 1-2h with my family every week, and minimize time in the car. The answer is YES.
We all should be able to consider, analyze, and understand facts irrespective of which political party we affiliate with. I believe in understanding policies and reacting to data, and sometimes that leads me to favor Republican (and yes, President Trump included) policies. Sometimes that leads me to favor Democrat policies. And sometimes that leads to be independent. In this case, the truth is clear and undeniable. I applaud @Mike_Pence for having clarity of thought, apolitical, and leading with truth.
Mr. President, Ukraine did not “start” this war. Russia launched an unprovoked and brutal invasion claiming hundreds of thousands of lives. The Road to Peace must be built on the Truth.🇺🇸🇺🇦

Senator Sanders, please, let us tell the whole story: (1) how many businesses, job, and total economic activity have these individuals created? (2) What are the total tax revenues collected from the employees, sales tax on products sold, real-estate taxes, social security, and so forth and so on, from the activities of these individuals? (3) What is the total amount of charitable giving, non-profit activity, and other public good activities? (4) What is the total quantity of intellectual property created by these individuals and their wealth?
Give us the full story. Not the piece of the story that fits your narrative. The American people deserve better and more in-depth analysis of the challenges that face us, and therefore, solutions that will solve these challenges. We should celebrate and encourage success amongst us. And while there is no question that we need real tax reform -- we need reform across the entire continuum of tax collection and spending. #AmericaDeservesBetter
@rtnarch Fully agree. Every branch and team of military that has any type of mission objective employs after action reviews as a fundamental way of being. So many industries would benefit from this... including ours, biotech/biopharma drug development.
A very Happy New Year to my wonderful collection of colleagues and friends around the world. While the world seems so broken, I have spent 2023 focused on my family, loved ones around me, and the things I can influence, drive, and lead to help those who need it -- whether it be from continuing to develop novel medicines to doing everything I can to live up to my Dad's expectations. This is the second Christmas and New Year's celebration without my father, and not a day goes by I don't continue to seek his guidance, and reflect on what he would have done in the many different challenges I've encountered this year. His voice speaks loudly in my heart and mind, and fortunately, it has continued to guide me...
And so, in this broken world we are constantly reminded of, let me be unequivocal: be optimistic. Be a force for change. Seek the good and positive, and where you encounter negative, ignore at all costs. There are no challenges -- none -- that science, technology, engineering, math, infused with an appreciation for the humanities and humanity, cannot solve. Get to work. Work hard. Harder than you think you can, and I promise, 2024 will be better than you expect. I will certainly aim to do that, and in the process, I hope to (re-)connect with my wonderful friends and colleagues around the world, and add new ones.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to all. I hope you were surrounded by loved ones, to love and be loved. I cannot be more thankful to have found teams, partners, and family to navigate the journey of life with, all while trying to make meaningful improvements to the world around me, for those who need help the most. The work I do can be very difficult and challenging, and particularly today, I am so thankful to have the privilege of being able to contribute.
Many have heard the famous 2014 commencement address at the U of Texas Austin by Admiral William H. McRaven (US Navy Retired). I just read his short book, #MakeYourBed. Incredible. Example of a life filled with purpose and learning, sharing with others. #LeadershipMatters
In a world that feels so divided, turbulent, enraged, and exhausting, seek the positive. Seek the path to contribute, in a positive way. Find purpose not only in what you do, but how you do it. I was reminded of this over the weekend by my loving family.
X (aka Twitter) continues to be a fast/efficient way to get updates and relevant biotech/biopharma news, including all things venture capital/funding. To those in this space, is X premium individual subscription worth it? @BiotechCH@AndyBiotech@daphnezohar@LifeSciVC Others?
I want to thank @HowardSchultz. I am not a billionaire. I am inspired to live in a country where success and achievement is possible. To demonize those who have succeeded, when their journey has begun with nothing, is one of the worst behaviors we can exemplify for our children.
@BillAckman I don't know any wealthy people that live some where they don't like. The reality is that most wealthy people have multiple geographies they love and enjoy, because they have the flexibility and means to explore them. So, if you can choose one that is also tax favorable, why not?
@elonmusk@elonmusk can we get official “How to use the improved Twitter” YouTube videos? Feels like the platform is moving fast and simple tutorial would be most awesome…..
"You can't handle the truth! kid, we live in a world that has markets, and those markets have to be disrupted by startups with funding. and whos gonna do it? you? your cofounder weinberg? as a VC i have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You beg for funding...
Gene therapy expert @Nicole_Paulk discusses the science of AAV, where it is headed, programs in the pipeline, and how viral vector shortages are causing delays and backlog for clinical trials. What a wealth of info, must watch! #ATW23
