Senior aviation expert Captain Mohan Ranganathan warned that 60% of the Parandur airport site is water bodies and clayey soil, risking high costs and structural issues.

"Dumping 4,000 acres of concrete on water bodies would have devastating consequences for Chennai’s drainage system.

If Chennai saw destruction in 2015 due to floods, Parandur will make it worse. The floodwaters will have nowhere to go.

* காவல்துறை அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் ஆளிநர்களுக்கு எதிரான ஊழல், முறைகேடு, அதிகார துஷ்பிரயோகம் மற்றும் பிற ஒழுங்கீன செயல்கள் தொடர்பான புகார்களைத் தடுப்பது, கண்காணிப்பது மற்றும் விசாரிப்பது இதன் முக்கிய நோக்கம்.
* பொதுமக்கள் புகார்களை எளிதில் தெரிவிக்க, மாவட்டம் மற்றும் மாநகரம் வாரியாக தனி Mobile/WhatsApp எண்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
* புகார்தாரர்கள் மற்றும் சாட்சிகளின் அடையாளம் ரகசியமாக பாதுகாக்கப்படும்.
* புகார் அளித்ததற்காக எந்தவிதமான துன்புறுத்தல், அச்சுறுத்தல் அல்லது பழிவாங்கும் நடவடிக்கையும் மேற்கொள்ளப்படாது என உறுதி அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
* பெறப்படும் அனைத்து புகார்களும் நியாயமான மற்றும் பாரபட்சமற்ற முறையில் ��ரிய காலக்கெடுவுக்குள் விசாரிக்கப்பட்டு, தேவையான நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும்.
* Internal Vigilance Cell-ன் செயல்பாடுகள் உயர் காவல்துறை அதிகாரிகளால் தொடர்ந்து கண்காணிக்கப்படும்.
* எனவே, பொதுமக்கள் எந்த அச்சமும் இன்றி காவல்துறையினர் தொடர்பான ஊழல் அல்லது முறைகேடு புகார்களைத் தெரிவிக்கலாம் என DGP/HoPF கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளார்.
