Haokhogin Lhouvum, son of Pu Khupkam Lhouvum and Pi Lhingjanei of Lasan Village, Twilang Area, IT Road, Tamenglong District, Manipur, was ambushed and killed while working in his paddy field using a tractor.

The Kuki Community strongly condemns the killing of an innocent civilian. We hold NSCN IM, ZUF (Kamson Group), and Arambai Tenggol MyammarMeitei Militants responsible for this brutal act and demand immediate action from the concerned authorities.

The continued killing of innocent Kuki civilians cannot be ignored. We urge the Government of India, Manipur Government, Indian Army, Assam Rifles, CRPF, and all security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation, bring the perpetrators to justice, and ensure the safety and security of all civilians.

We want justice. We want accountability. We demand immediate action.

Justice for Pa Haogin Lasan Vangkho Twilang Lhang

The release of the 14 Kuki hostages today should have been a moment of relief and celebration for the Kuki community and the families who had been anxiously waiting for their loved ones to return home. However, this moment has been overshadowed by the tragic and heartbreaking killing of Pa Haogin Lasan Vangkho Twilang Lhang, allegedly at the hands of #NSCN-IM and ZUF-K.

The loss of an innocent life can never be justified. While families welcomed back their sons, one family has been left in grief, pain, and mourning. The killing of Pa Haogin is a grave injustice that demands immediate attention and accountability. No individual should be subjected to violence, and those responsible must be identified and brought before the law.

We strongly condemn this brutal act and call upon the Government of India, the Government of Manipur, and all concerned authorities to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Today, we stand in solidarity with the family of Pa Haogin Lasan Vangkho Twilang Lhang. Their pain is shared by all who value peace, human dignity, and justice. We urge the authorities to ensure that the truth is uncovered and that those responsible are held accountable.

THE FORGOTTEN LASAN VILLAGE:

Ugandan dictator Dr. Idi Amin once said, "There is freedom of speech, but I cannot guarantee freedom after speech." My distant relative, an unarmed, innocent civilian who was tilling his paddy field at Lasan, was murdered in cold blood yesterday by the Tangkhul NSCN-IM and their stooges, ZUF-Kamson. Will I face another legal action for exposing your bias, partiality, and incompetence in your governance, Chief Minister Shri Yumnam Khemchand @YKhemchandSingh?

I thought, as usual, that Manipur Police @manipur_police would at least say "unidentified gunmen" on their X handle. Unfortunately, both CM Yumnam Khemchand @YKhemchandSingh and Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam @KonthoujamG, who used to say "I was having a sleepless night whenever some Tangkhul villagers complained," have also remained silent until now. It seems to me that they had the best night's sleep while my relative's family cried and mourned their dead.

The question is: For how long will unarmed, innocent civilians be murdered by the Tangkhul NSCN-IM and their stooges, ZUF-Kamson, whenever they want?

I would like to appeal to CRPF DG GP Singh, who talks tough on various media platforms. If you are seriously looking for the miscreants and the government provides you with enough bullets, this is the right time to act.

I wish to bring to your kind attention that certain individuals from the Meitei and Tangkhul communities have been spreading false information and defaming the innocent Kuki-Zo community on various social media platforms.

The video being circulated, which shows brutal killings, is not from Manipur. Based on Gorecenter, the footage documents an execution that took place in Mexico, where members of the Sinaloa Cartel brutally killed and dismembered rival cartel members. The victims have been identified as members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), and the perpetrators have been identified as members of the Sinaloa Cartel.

This video is being maliciously misrepresented to incite hatred against the innocent Kuki-Zo community in Manipur.

I therefore request you to kindly take stringent legal action against those responsible for running such hate campaigns and spreading disinformation. Immediate intervention is necessary to prevent further escalation and to uphold communal harmony in the state.
