Imagine 1984. India was not a tech powerhouse; it was a country bound by red tape, power cuts & the suffocating shadow of the License Raj.

In 1984, long before India's startup ecosystem existed, Pramod took an audacious leap into the unknown. Armed with little more than a vision to connect agriculture with industrial engineering, he founded Praj Industries.

The early days were fraught with skepticism. In the 1980s, biofuel was dismissed as an expensive fantasy. Crude oil was king & few believed a homegrown Indian startup could compete with global engineering giants. Financial strain mounted, capital was scarce & traditional industries laughed off the idea that agricultural waste could replace fossil fuels.

Yet, inside a modest office in Pune, Pramod stayed the course. He was betting on an eco-revolution that the rest of the world had not even begun to visualize.

Praj’s technological breakthrough was relentless, uncompromising engineering. Pramod built Praj Matrix, a world-class R&D hub in Pune, turning it into the crucible where India’s industrial biotechnology was born.

When the world finally realized that fossil fuels were poisoning the atmosphere, Praj Industries was already decades ahead.

From the lush sugar belts of South America to the industrial hubs of Europe, 1000+ bio-energy plants across 5 continents now run on tech engineered in India by Praj.

When Colombia launched its national ethanol-blending program, they did not look to Western conglomerates, they chose Praj's technology to fulfill 100% of their national mandate.

Praj pioneered groundbreaking tech that converts agricultural stubble, the very waste burnt in North Indian fields into clean, high-grade ethanol, turning an environmental hazard into clean energy.

Praj is now pioneering bio-jet fuels, ensuring that tomorrow’s commercial flights soar on Indian-developed green fuel technology. Pramod Chaudhari put India at the absolute center of the global bio-economy.
