Incredibly grateful (Alhamdulillah) to have been awarded the IACR Travel Grant for my oral presentation at #IACR2026 held at the most beautiful @UnivofKashmir !
Thank you, IACR, for this recognition and for a fantastic conference in Kashmir!

Delighted to share a new preprint from our lab where we have looked at how perturbations in cellular aging early on during development can impact organ homeostasis later in life!

Apparently, the air quality only respects high-ranking officials. Since we’ve proven we can control the pollution, I officially request VVIPs to visit Kharghar every month. We would appreciate the "temporary" gift of breathing.
Is clean air a right or a "VIP privilege"?

New preprint from the lab! Triglycerides act like salt on ice: they solubilize cholesterol esters and drive lipid droplet growth. The TG/CE ratio shapes both droplet size and proteome, mirroring lipoprotein organization.

Universities like MS University Baroda need govt support to sustain! If we don't care to help thrive such departments, who will & what would the future of such universities hold then ? We can't let them fade away...
@biopatrika
Recently had a chance to visit my alma mater Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, MS University of Baroda, Vadodara for the Ruby Jubilee Celebration. It was wonderful to meet past members of the department and interact with the present students. 1
My 1st PhD student @UjjayitaC 's 1st preprint is out now!
We investigate how hematopoiesis is remodelled during cancer cachexia! Brilliant work done by Ujjayita & lab members! This study opens up new avenues for our lab 😊

A platform by the students for the students!
A student led conference that happens annually at @ACTREC_TMC@CRI_ACTREC
Pls register for this exciting meeting coming up!

Superheroes of the galaxy....the Fly family at @CRI_ACTREC@ACTREC_TMC had a great time on the ACTREC Open Science Day! Interesting talk, fun activities + games, enriching scientific stalls..it was a perfect recipe for public science outreach! @biopatrika
Researchers at @THSTIFaridabad , have decoded the whole genome of Limosilactobacillus portuensis—a Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacterium isolated from the reproductive tract of Indian women in the GARBH-Ini cohort. A newly classified heterofermentative genus (2020), L. portuensis plays a key role in maintaining vaginal health by producing exopolysaccharides, lactate, and lowering pH, thereby reducing the risk of infections. This genomic insight deepens our understanding of beneficial microbes in women’s reproductive health.

Our new study is out in Cell Reports!
We show that the DNA repair pathway ATM-γH2Av is repurposed in the gut during infection, even without DNA breaks. Pathogens, not microbiota, trigger it via NOX to clear damaged cells and drive stem cell regeneration. https://t.co/fd2gqT5Vpv
Bend it like Bendless!! We are on the Rxiv @biorxivpreprint this month with our new story on the role of K63 ubiquitination in regulating signalling during hematopoiesis!
Congrats team 👏🎉 Wish us luck :)

The story begins with a two young friends, Junaid and Keshav, play with and talk about the #foldscope, a toy-like device, Junaid's father introduced them to the world of #microscopy and #frugalscience while they were playing with it, assuming it was just a toy.
