@CJNitkowski@ChrisSalesBeard People love arbitrary end points, but you’re absolutely right. It was a good year for the offense from a results perspective, and in the end that’s what matters.
Not how to make decisions about the future (wRC+ was worse than 2025), but it’s okay to be happy with the season.
@DMAC_LA Who was on base when Pages got his hit, and what are the Dodgers paying for them in 2026:
- Teoscar Hernandez, $42M
- Kyle Tucker, $120M
- Tommy Edman, $28M
That’s $190M on the bases.
@b_outliers Couple things:
1. Will Smith was 1/16 with a single and no walks this series.
2. There are a total of 9 players who have more than 3 hits in the entire divisional round so far.
@hisnameizjake they’re clearly not? why do people keep repeating this? they are spending $120M on Kyle Tucker and his 0.7 WAR… THIS SEASON. any other team and that’s a franchise crippler. the brewers and rays are much, much smarter and do more with infinitely less
@CapitolAvenue Terrible pitch to hit too. If he’s hunting middle middle, gets it, and gets under it, it sucks but you accept it. But swinging at a fastball up and in after that is just bad.
@_M_Able With his tax hit he’s costing them about $120M this year. They’re paying about $170 million/WAR and it doesn’t affect them at all. Yes, very smart.
