Workers are being intimidated by Punajb Police in front of Ibrahim fibres. Workers are refusing to back down. They have given years to this mill but the mill management fired them in middle of pandemic. #Workersrights

We are at protest of workers of Ibrahim fibres in Faisalabad. Workers were told not to come to the mill in April due to COVID. Last month, 2000 workers were told they had been fired in April.

Families of workers are also at the protest. Heavy police presence.

Workers of Ibrahim Fibres have been pleading authorities for past 5 months to reinstate them. Today we announced hunger-strike camp in front of Governor house if workers are not reinstated.

Punjab govt must listen to the demands of these workers.

Industrialists fire workers in middle of pandemic. When desperation forces them to protest, they are beaten up. This is reality of Pakistan today.
