A4. I have freaked out about this a couple of times. I am huge on safely, internet or otherwise. I am going to have class read excerpts or whole book, "SOLD" and have a long discussion about human trafficking here and abroad. That should help safety lessons stick. #EdTechChatWSUV

Sadly, we must adjust gears. If we are going to put in the time to teach, we need to ensure we reach all our students (or as many as we can). To this end we need content they engage with. #EdTechChatWSUV

A5: I worry about asking kids for any of that stuff. There was that one mom who is fighting a felony because she put a camera on her kid's backpack to record bullying. They charged her with illegal surveillance of a minor. F that. #EdTechChatWSUV

@AnjaSundstrom I haven't read twisted. There are 10s of thousands of kids in this country in virtually the same position that girl is in. Sometimes you have to push discomfort to keep them safe. I have no problem with Sold as a tool to relay the horrid reality of trafficking. #EdTechChatWSUV

A3: First thing coming to mind is digital interviews with experts who can't travel to us. Next would be a digital penpal system, as mentioned already. All easily doable in today's classroom. #EdTechChatWSUV
