Nashik, May 16, 2026:
ABAVP Northeast Zonal Vice President Ms Marina Singson called for unity among Adivasi communities and reiterated the demand for a Separate Administration for Kuki Adivasis in Manipur, while addressing the National Youth Conference of ABAVP in Nashik on Friday.
Speaking on Adivasi Youth Day, Singson extended greetings to the gathering and thanked ABAVP National Youth President Mr LuckyBhau Jadav for the opportunity to address the conference.
"From Maharashtra to the Northeast, our blood, our struggles, our culture, and our identity are connected. We are one family. We are one people,"* Singson said, identifying herself as "a proud Adivasi standing among my own people."
Highlighting the situation in Manipur, Singson said Kuki Adivasis have faced "three years of violence, displacement, humiliation, and fear." She alleged that Kuki women were "paraded naked and brutally gang raped," homes and villages were "burned to ashes," and that the community faced an "attempted genocide simply for existing as a tribal community."
Singson cited the historical contributions of the Kuki Adivasis to India, referencing the Anglo-Kuki War against British colonial rule and Kuki participation with Subhas Chandra Bose and the Indian National Army during World War II. *"This is not only Kuki Adivasi history. This is Bharat’s history. This is the history of sacrifice, resistance, courage, and patriotism,"* she said.
The ABAVP leader stated the community is seeking "justice through Separate Administration under the Constitution of Bharat/India, and constitutional protection from the non-Adivasi forces that attempted genocide against our people." She added, *"Our demand is not born out of hatred. Our demand is born out of survival. Our demand is born out of the basic right to live."*
Concluding her speech, Singson called for Adivasi unity across India. *"If Adivasis across India stand united, no force on earth can divide us. Let us stand together. Let us protect our identity. Let us defend our rights. Let us make Bharat stronger through unity, justice, and truth,"* she said.
The National Youth Conference was held in Nashik to mark Adivasi Youth Day.

Exposing the lies and twisted narratives of @R_Lungleng by “Zalen Spirit.”
Meitei and Tangkhul may call themselves blood brothers, and here is the similarity many people now see-
Facts cannot be buried under propaganda. Twisting the truth to protect political convenience only destroys credibility further.
Instead of misleading the public, face the reality on the ground with honesty and integrity. False narratives may trend for a moment, but truth outlives propaganda.

The recent ambush on the three Kuki pastors was not done because they were pastors. Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM wants to drag others (tribes within the fold of Naga) into the Tangkhul’s aspiration to go to full war against the Kukis. But other tribes don’t want to.
Now, the road where the attack/ambush happened is a well known fact that it’s used by the Kukis more than any other community (especially after the Meitei-Kuki Conflict, which ended Kukis’ access to Imphal Valley). It was the plan of the attackers to hit the first group of vehicles on that day. Rev V. Sitlhou and his colleagues were the first vehicles to reach that place on that fateful day. Therefore, the ambush occurred on them.
The attack was done by NSCN(IM) and their proxies ZUF-Kamson. But these two parties put the blame on the original ZUF(Zeliangrong United Front), with whom the KNO(Kuki National Organisation) has a cordial relationship. Why did they put the blame on the original ZUF? The perpetrators (IM and Kamson) put the blame on the original ZUF so as to destroy the KNO-ZUF cordial relationship and drag the Zeliangrong people into the fight, which the latter have outrightly refused.
The use of “NAGA” in the current Tangkhul-Kuki conflict in Manipur is a ploy by the Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM and their propaganda machineries to make it appear as a Pan-Naga fight against the Kukis. Let the saints within the Nagas prevail over the demons.

🚨From Sheltered Refugees to Seditious Terrorists:
India's Ungrateful Burmese Refugees🚨
In 1991, several hundred Burmese Kacha Naga refugees sought shelter in Manipur & Mizoram.
In January 1992, an additional 1500 Burmese Kacha Naga Refugees sought shelter again & the Govt of India granted them permission to stay.
In 2000, UNHCR rejected the Refugee plea of NSCN-IM's supremo Th.Muivah, citing his direct complicity & NSCN-IM's role in Commiting war crimes against Kukis in the 1990s Genocide.
Despite the Govt of India granting asylum to thousands of these Burmese Kacha Naga refugees & the UNHCR later blacklisting their supremo Th. Muivah & NSCN-IM for historical war crimes, 30 years later, these Burmese refugees & rejected-refugee has the audacity to call the Indian Army ILLEGALS & wage war against the country that granted them refuge.
Manipur : Three Kuki students Sehminhao Chongloi, Hengunsei Khongsai and Tonggoulen Chongloi are still held hostage among 14 Kuki men abducted from police custody by SDSA & NSCN-IM.
All three students are sole breadwinners for their families.
Hengunsei is currently battling muscular dystrophy and was also recently orphaned by his father , he alone carries the burden of providing for his grieving family while his own health deteriorates in captivity.
Their unlawful detention since 13 May 2026 is a brutal assault on their safety, health, and right to education. Authorities must act without delay, ensure their safe release immediately and jail the perpetrators.

Fresh concern has emerged over the fate of 11 Kuki individuals reported missing after being taken hostage, following a disturbing social media post allegedly shared by a user identified as “Ajoy Rephung,” who described himself as a “Kaccha Naga individual.”
In the post, Ajoy Rephung claimed that the 11 hostages, whom he referred to as “Burmese refugee,” were “already dead and their bodies are decomposed.” The post further carried a chilling warning: “this time you will learn an unforgettable lesson in life.”
These claims remain unverified and no official authority has confirmed the whereabouts or condition of the missing individuals. Yet such statements have intensified fear, anxiety and outrage among the families and community members still waiting for answers.
The continued uncertainty surrounding the 11 missing Kuki individuals demands immediate attention, an independent investigation and urgent action from the concerned authorities. Every effort must be made to establish the truth, ensure accountability and protect innocent civilians from further harm.
Silence cannot replace justice and unanswered disappearances cannot be ignored.

A Kuki mother and her son were allegedly taken hostage, and when armed men tried to tear them apart, the boy begged,Mom, don’t leave me. If we have to die, let’s die together.” No child should ever face that fear, and no mother should ever have to hear it. #releasethehostages@NIA
For over a decade the Kuki people have been denied justice by the Government of India and Manipur, and that neglect has cost lives. When the state fails to protect its people,self-determination becomes survival @EastMojo@ANI@the_hindu@htTweets@MHA_india@HMOIndia
An orphan. Only 16. Living with a 38% disability. He worked daily wages during school holidays just to survive poverty, only to be kidnapped by NSCN-IM militants on May 13. He’s 1 of 14 helpless Kuki hostages missing .
Praying for his safe return. Please spare the child.
🚨 MANIPUR HOSTAGE CRISIS
Families of the 14 detained villagers, 13 from Taphou Kuki and 1 from Hengbung, have issued a heartbreaking plea for their immediate and safe release. Calling them innocent civilians with no role in the conflict, the families say every passing hour brings unbearable fear, trauma and suffering. Their cry rises above politics, a desperate appeal from mothers, wives and children simply wanting their loved ones home alive.

#WATCH | Churachandpur, Manipur | Young Pillars College Principal and MD, Samuel Haokip, says, "Among the 14 that were abducted, there's a boy named Hengunsei Khongsai, a student of Young Pillars College. He had just completed his class 11 final exams. Now, Hengunsei is still a minor. He's only 16 years of age. He also has a disability and he's essentially an orphan. His mother left him when he was a child and his father passed away this January. Now, his friends have started their class 12 a week ago. He could not come. He's still in Taphou village. He was in Taphou village to earn his fare money, just to come from his village to Lamka... I earnestly appeal to the government at the state and the centre, to all the security agencies and to all right-thinking community leaders across the region. Please put an end to this madness... Let us release all the hostages on all sides, including our boy, Hengunsei Khongsai... On the 14th of May, as I've been given to understand by his family members, Hengunsei Khongsai, along with his friends and village members were earning money as a daily wage labourer. On their way home to their village, they were stopped, in front of Mount Everest College, Senapati, where they were stopped by Senapati District Student Association (SDSA) members. There were also police members present there, security personnel. Instead of protecting Hengunsei Khongsai and his friends and his villagers, the security people have handed over these civilians into the hands of the SDSA... All involved parties, including the SDSA student leaders as well as the police personnel involved in that incident must be investigated and they must be held accountable for whatever happens to Hengunsei Khongsai and the abducted 14 members."
