That was as good as any of your other Olympic performances including the bronze from Tokyo @EvanDunfee. Top shelf, leaving everything out there, smartly raced. Amazing!π #GoCanadaGo
@EvanDunfee Who knew that 9 year old younger brother tagging along and wanting to go fast would go on to 3 Olympics. Incredible journey. I'm so lucky to have been able to be along to watch all that growth. Will be cheering once again! (maybe easy on those wings though (~)π)
@EvanDunfee Having had to officiate discus, shot and hammer recently, I had similar
thoughts. Like surely the technology at least at a global level should be possible to do this quicker and as accurately . But the subjectivity of officiating is the part of the sport. (Like in the walk)
@TeamCanada@EvanDunfee@WorldAthletics@AthleticsCanada Underlining just how good this performance is - the 33rd best performer at the distance all-time. And puts @EvanDunfee in very elite company. Only 6 walkers in history have better performances in both the 20km & 50km. Can't wait to see what you do at 35km.
@MathCurmudgeon@MathsCirclesOz This is the crux of the challenge I struggle with. The proficiencies are a pillar of our curriculum standards and I embed them in my instructional design, but find it extremely difficult to assess against & provide helpful feedback for improvement.
@GastownGP I have been trying to get help registering a young rider for the Youth B race. Two emails sent to the [email protected] with no reply. Any suggestions how else I could resolve the issue? Thanks
"You can make the trip up the river TWO β times and get the river named after you. Hmmmπ€" - @mcarolynroberts casts shade on the colonial stories we tell about the land we live on. Thanks for the sarcasm and levity in calling attention to it. #VSB39
@ls_gibson 3/3 an "A" grade in one school may only be awarded a "C" somewhere else. I love the freedom but lack of centralised standards/ expectations I find problematic.
Apologies too as my original post wasn't meant to be snarky if it came across that way, but from point of curiosity.
This little guy came up to sit by us as though asking for help outside the Cloud/Flower dome near the Shake Shack. Poor guy can't stand on swollen feet/legs. Anyone @GardensbytheBay who can help him?
@JimLauterhahn@Damien_Ettere@howie_hua I use Cuisinaire Rods and grid paper diagrams to help students understand quotative model of fraction division with a common denominator and how the steps taken are equivalent to multiplying by the reciprocal
