In the midst of a tumultuous landscape, where the fragile threads of communal harmony are being relentlessly torn asunder, the State of Manipur is grappling with a crisis of unprecedented proportions. The recent escalation of violence along the India-Myanmar Border has served as a catalyst, unleashing a maelstrom of pent-up emotions and long-simmering tensions that have been festering beneath the surface for decades. As the situation continues to deteriorate, the complexities of the conflict are becoming increasingly apparent, with the #Meitei and #Kuki Communities finding themselves embroiled in a bitter and seemingly intractable struggle.

At the heart of this conflict lies a tangled web of historical grievances, resource disputes, and identity politics, which have been expertly manipulated by the #MeiteiMilitant Groups to further their own secessionist agenda. The recent reports of #Meitei Outlawed Groups and the #NSCN-IM being driven out by #PDFs along the #India-Myanmar Border have been seized upon by the #Meitei Community and their Medias, who brazenly celebrate the killing of #PDF Soldiers in #Myanmar as a twisted victory. However, this blatant attempt to manipulate public opinion and deflect attention from their own culpability in the conflict has only served to further exacerbate the tensions, as the #Kuki Community in #Manipur finds itself being dragged into the #Meitei's secessionist narrative against their will.

It is pertinent to observe that, the #PDFs and their allied Ethnic Armed Groups have been engaged in a valiant struggle to reclaim key territories along the #India-Myanmar Border from the Junta and their allied Forces, as well as the secessionist #MeiteiMilitant Groups and their allied #NSCN-IM. However, the #Meiteis' desperate attempts to cling to power and relevance have led them to pursue a policy of blatant aggression and intimidation, with hundreds of their secessionist groups having already been given safe passages and entry into #Manipur State. These Groups have been instrumental in intensifying the attacks against the #Kuki Villages till today, leaving a trail of death and destruction in their wake and further deepening the sense of animosity between the two Communities.

As the Central Government struggles to come to terms with the gravity of the situation, it is becoming increasingly evident that their complicity in the conflict has been a major factor in its escalation. The majoritarian fascist policies of CM #NBirenSingh have only served to further polarize the situation, as the #Meitei Media and their sympathizers continue to peddle false propaganda and blame the #IndianArmy for the conflict in the #Indo-Myanmar Border. It is imperative that the Central Government takes immediate action to address the situation, ensuring that the #MeiteiExtremists are not allowed to enter #Manipur and perpetuate their reign of terror against the minority #Kuki Community…!!!🆘

◼️𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭, the assassination was a heinous attempt to threaten the #HumanRights and #FundamentalRights of Minorities in India such as the Hmar-Kuki Tribals.
◼️𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭, the inconsistent and contradicted statements of Assam Police calls for the interference of @NHRC and the Central Authorities to effect fair judicial inquiry for the justice of the Victims.
◼️ 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭, the Central and State is warranted to uphold the principles of justice, accountability, and human dignity of the minority Tribals in India.
◼️𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭, perpetrators of the brutal assassination must face the full force of the Law, and safeguard the minority Tribals of India such as the Hmar-Kuki ethnic Community against any form of extrajudicial violence in the future.

Just two days after the MP election, Arambai Tenggol and the Manipur police commando attempted to disrupt the peace agreement between the Meitei and Kuki communities in Jiribam.
They did this by intentionally killing one of their own so that they will burn all the Kuki house in Jiribam and chase out all the Kuki people from the area. This propaganda, aimed at creating chaos, reportedly comes from Biren himself, as his position as Chief Minister is now under threat.

MODI'S CLAIM ON ELECTORAL BONDS

If you’ve spent a few minutes on social media this week, you’ll probably know that #PMModi came out strongly in support of the controversial #ElectoralBonds scheme.

He also made specific claims:

• Out of 3,000 companies that bought bonds, only 26 “were being investigated” by central agencies. Of these, “there were 16 where there were raids. At that time, the bonds were bought”.

• Next, he said “out of 16 companies” being probed by agencies that bought bonds, 37 percent of their bonds went to the BJP; the rest went to opposition parties.

🔸𝟐𝟔 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐯𝐬 𝟑𝟔 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩���𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬

First, The #ElectionCommission did not release data on electoral bonds purchased by 3,000 companies. Instead, it released data on 1,298 purchasers comprising companies and a few hundred individuals.

Out of a short list of 300 companies, found that 41 had faced central agency action and donated about Rs 397.3 crore to the #BJP from 2014 to 2023. The majority of these donations took place between 2018 and 2023.

Twenty-five of these companies donated over Rs 262 crore to the BJP in that five-year period. Additionally, 14 of these 25 companies – which donated a total of Rs 137.9 crore to the BJP – had never donated to the party prior to 2014.

Found that 18 out of 41 companies bought electoral bonds worth Rs 1,926.5 crore. Also found that 17 other companies purchased electoral bonds after central agency action.

In total, analysis of the EC data spanned 400-odd companies. We found 35 companies – 18 that we’d investigated before, 17 new ones – that bought Bonds to coincide with central agency action.

Two of the companies – Grasim Industries and Utkal Alumina – had been counted as one entity since they are both part of the Aditya Birla Group. We decided to count them individually instead of as one, taking our final count to 36 companies that purchased bonds and also faced action.

This doesn’t quite tally with the PM's claim of 26, does it ?

The 36 companies purchased bonds worth Rs 4,392 crore in total, encashed by 16 political parties.
The #BJP got Rs 1,666 crore – 37.93 percent of the total.

The remaining was split between 15 other parties, some that ally with the #BJP and some that do not.

The TMC got Rs 642 crore (14.62%), DMK Rs 593 crore (13.50%), Bharat Rashtra Samithi Rs 486 crore (11.07%), Congress Rs 331 crore (7.54%), BJD Rs 264 crore (6.01%), YSR Congress Rs 216 crore (4.92 percent), and TDP Rs 93 crore (2.12%),

Getting less than one percent were the Rashtriya Janata Dal (Rs 36 crore), Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (Rs 18 crore), Janata Dal Secular (Rs 14 crore), Janata Dal United (Rs 11 crore), JMM (Rs 8 crore), AAP (Rs 5 crore) and Jana Sena Party (Rs 4 crore)

Of these parties, the JDU, JDS, SKM, TDP and Jana Sena are allies of the #BJP.
Together with the BJP’s share, they account for over 41 percent percent of bonds purchased by the 36 companies that faced agency action.

Again, this isn’t what the #Modi said during his interview.
