I'm gonna push back on that from the world of high current loads and low voltage sensors
Though you can mitigate a bunch of that with placement, I've still run keepouts for sensors returns, ground side sensing Kelvin connections are another example, as are switching power supply controllers which call out a star ground at their pin
@zackslab@blind_via@broblas You two may be talking about different things
Split ground plane: one net that isn't connected everywhere it is adjacent (digital vs analog sections of a microcontroller)
Separate "ground" planes: where there is no intent to connect two separate 0v nets (i.e. isolated SPI)
@cybrtrkguy Weird, you can buy under roam or from BestBuy
Max residential plan gets you a free mini rental (min $5 a month) and half off roam plans

@Ruth_Oyen Trying to do 2.0 on a USB-C cable can have issues because some ports and cables don't carry/ support the 2.0 signals. end up needing a 2.0 hub and/ or A to C cable
In the world of hacks: On internal use only connections, we've connected only one set of the 3.0 pins
